Short Character Summary:
Born Reinhard Erwin Henrik von Ehrenberg on New Berlin in 796 A.S., scion of a respected and old military family. Following a childhood of education to serve in
the Rheinland Military, a family crisis caused him to abandon his life-course and drift about Sirius as an aimless freelancer, eventually becoming a miner in
Pennsylvania. After years of boredom, and a few chance encounters with a few strangers, and a few freaks, he set about working as a anti-piracy bounty hunter.
Following an illness, and eventual death, of his mother, he returns to Rheinland and eventually enlists in the service of the Rheinwehr Reserve-Dienst with another
family member. After a severe on-duty injury, he recuperates in hospital and applies for the First Fleet.

Born Reinhardt Erwin Henrik von Ehrenberg on New Berlin in 796 A.S., the son of decorated Rheinland Militar-Offizier Kapitain Georg Hans Reimler von Ehrenberg [750-
809 A.S.], of the Alt-Rheinish Aristocratic von Ehrenberg family, and the second daughter of the respected von Jenzig merchant family, Louise Anna von Ehrenberg (nee. von
Jenzig) [763-825 A.S.]. His early years under the care of his mother and paternal grandfather (Henrik Gebhard von Ehrenberg, Freiher von Vallentorm; a long retired Militar
Gunner Officer) on the family's New Berlin estates were happy ones - he spent his days playing games in the snow and learning to fence with sticks under his grandfather's
loving gaze. Although his young life lacked somewhat in discipline, he nonetheless benefited from an early education provided by tutors under his father's employ. Reinhardt
knew little of his father in these early years - being told only that duty to Rheinland kept him away, and that one day the boy would understand. Even so, Georg v. Ehrenberg
was not a loving man - indeed, he was distant and cold, even to his much beloved wife, preferring the companionship of duty and honor over more familial pursuits, a state of
affairs that did not change after the birth of a daughter, Emma Victoria von Ehrenberg [798-813 A.S.].

Following the death of his grandfather in 800 A.S, and beginning his primary schooling at a private New Berlin institution at age 5 in 801 A.S., the boy Reinhardt began to
develop what would become a lifelong love of reading, but he continued to show discipline issues and lack-lustre grades which greatly concerned his father. In an attempt to
provide the boy with some 'structure to his life', Georg v. Ehrenberg enrolled his son in a traditional military fencing academy in 802 A.S., hoping to capitalise on the boys'
joy in the art. Although it had some success, the true change in the boy came after the retirement of old family friend Gerd Albrecht to New Berlin in 803. Herr Albrecht had
served alongside Reinhardt's father since 785, and following injuries sustained during the Nomad Wars, was retired to teach at the Military Academy. He took over the care of
the young boy, and as per his father's request, ensured he learned discipline and pride in his duties. Under the tutelage of Gerd Albrecht, Reinhardt began his education as a
pilot, making his first supervised atmospheric training flight at age 10, in 806 A.S.

On the insistence of his father, and the urging of 'Onkel Gerd', Reinhardt was enrolled in the New Berlin Military Academy to begin his training as a military soldier in the
family tradition in 808 A.S. With the help of nepotism on his uncle's part, Reinhardt had no difficulty in entering the academy, although his connections would cause
occasional problems with other students. Indeed, following an incident with an upper-classmate, Reinhardt was disciplined for striking the other boy. The incident enraged
the boy's father, who angrily chastised him and warned him not 'to disgrace the family like that, ever again.' These words were amongst the last shared between father and son;
Georg Hans Reimler von Ehrenberg was killed when his Bayern-Klasse Schlachtkreuzer RNC Gera was lost with all hands in 809 A.S. Although the official reason for the loss of the
ship remains classified, there were numerous publicly unanswered questions. The family's reputation suffered severely in social circles, although this had little effect on Reinhardt
at the time.

The incident would, however, have a profound effect on the 13 year old - he set himself to his studies with absolute single-mindedness. He spent nearly every waking moment in
study, and all his free hours were spent on the piloting simulator, or in atmospheric flights. His grades continued to impress, but over the following years, he became
socially reclusive, even awkward - only very rarely interacting with his fellow classmates, and speaking even less frequently. Indeed, Gerd Albrecht once commented that
he never did see the boy smile again. By 813 A.S., at age 17, Reinhardt had earned the necessary qualificiations as a Combat Pilot on several craft types, as well as earning
additional distinctions in related fields - advanced navigation, combat theory, Military philosophy, and others. Had it not been for one fateful event, it would have seemed
Reinhardt's entry into the Rheinwehr was simply a matter of formality.

That changed very suddenly in late 813 A.S. While the weeks leading up to his birthday should have been happy ones, preceded by his graduation just three days before, along
with his the homecoming of his younger sister Emma from an art school on Planet Stuttgart. Instead, two days before his graduation, he received word from his heart-broken
mother that Emma had been attacked while celebrating with her friends, and had died of her injuries. Although the culppit was never formally identified or caught, familial
friends shared information that the police believed soldiers of the Rheinwehr had been involved, but an absence of evidence forced the investigation to close. The next weeks
became a blur - Reinhardt took to heavy drinking and drugs, disappearing into a seemingly endless parade of bars, drug dens and the very darkest pits of humanity. He would
drift like this, from dive to dive, living on whatever scraps he could win at the tables or pay he could get for odd-jobs; for more than 5 years. By this time he had changed
his name, and began calling himself 'Morn Bannorn'; he learned to cheat at the tables, and took to cheating well-meaning tourist or good samaritans with 'loans', and
disappearing before the debt came calling. The hard life, and heavy use of drugs would lead him to violence on more than one occasion - making him several enemy he
would have been better off without. Each time, however, he was disgusted with himself and sunk deeper into the morass.

By the age of 23, in 819, he had found himself a job as a deckhand on night-cleaning duty aboard a decrepit old garbage scowl in Liberty, hauling waste back and forth along
the route it had been plying for the better part of a century. Despite having, relatively, settled down, he remained socially reclusive and disliked aboard ship. Following
a drunken altercation turned violent while on shore leave on Erie, he is discharged and left behind. Awaking to find himself once again at the bottom, Reinhardt made his
way to a local bar, and signed on with a mining crew operating in the Pennsylvania Helium fields on an old Hegemon by the name of 'Ugly Buck'. Not much changes in his life
until one day, in 821, he receives a communique encoded from Rheinland - a letter from his mother, who had been trying to track him down since his disappearance in 813 A.S.
Although she is understanding, she urges him to come home; the letter leads to another violent bout of binging.

This time however, Reinhardt is found collapsed and shivering away his latest high, behind some old mining equipment in the cargo bay, by the shipowner - old Liberty miner
Sam Tober. Mr. Tober gave Reinhardt a simple ultimatum: lose the drugs, or lose the job. If he could lose the drugs, he'd get a shot at some real mining - not just stacking
away the work of others in the hold, on the night shift. Reluctant at first, Morn eventually relented - and with a great deal of patience support from the old libertonian
eventually broke his dependency. True to his word, Sam set him up on one of his mining rigs, and set him to work. Until 824, Morn's life continued in this fashion - while
uneventful, boring, work; it gave the lad some much needed roots - and with his finances under strict supervision from old Sam Tober, his gambling debts were soon wiped out.
A little at a time, he began to emerge from his social isolation, and re-found much of the discipline of his youth. Despite renewing and maintaining contact with his mother
via occasional recorded messages and letters, family obligation remained a sore point - and her pleas for his return to Rheinland continued to fall on deaf ears. In late 824,
Sam Tober, at 93 years of age, finally died. A hard life as a miner had earned him his peace. Using the funds he had saved away under his mentor's keen eye, Morn purchased
the old Hegemon for himself at auction, and went into business as an independent miner. He worked like this, in relative peace, until late 825. A.S.

During 825 A.S., while having a quiet meal at one of his favorite Erie miner's taverns, Morn was approached by a local freelancer. Striking up a conversation,
the two spoke for some time about the freelancer's life. Overwhelmed by the boredom of his work, Morn listened avidly; and upon being told that local agencies were paying
good money for captured pilots, resolved to make himself a bit of extra cash on the side. Purchasing a couple of old surplus transport turret arrays, and mounting them, from
then on the old Hegemon would not now flee for the safety of protection when surprised at its work in the ice fields. Instead it put up a fight, and Morn soon found himself
looking forward to the odd encounter. Indeed, little by little, he would venture deeper into the mining fields - even setting course for the further Driftwood and Mead
fields, daring the pirates to come to him.

As time went on the action became a desired part of Morn's life, and the mining began to fall astern. Eventually, a forceful disagreement with members of his crew about
the unnecessary risks, led to a decision: he had had enough of the miners life, it was time to change. Parting ways with his crew, he set about acquiring a freelancer's
licence, and arming his old mining ship to the teeth. He began to take work with the local police, bounty hunters - indeed, anyone would pay him. Encountering a local trader,
he arranged for a special price from a local privately operated station, expanding his network further. Suddenly the boredom was gone, and it was as if he was living a whole
new life - money in his pocket, and adrenaline in his veins. Life seemed good. The work also allows him to expand his knowledge, and his horizons: working as a convoy escort
allowed him to explore and discovery many new places for himself, learning his way around Sirius.

Having spent some time roving across Sirius as a Freelancer, gun-for-hire and all-round independent trader, Morn had visited many of the far flung reaches - he had seen the
devastation of the wars in Bretonia and in Kusari, the rampant piracy in Liberty, and all manner of other sights. Amongst the more memorable of these experiences, several
days spent exploring the many wrecks in Sigma-13 System. Finding such great numbers of Rheinland ships, left over from wars in which generation after generation of his
family had fought and died, brought his thoughts to home and the future. Initially he lapsed into a brief bout of depression, feeling his life wasted, but the feeling soon
passed with the next job, in the next Star System. A letter from his mother a few weeks later brought the matter to the forefront again: she wrote him that she had returned
home from a recent hospitalisation. She had taken ill with a minor ailment, and was already well recovered - but Morn resolved to return to Rheinland and visit his mother.

Thinking himself in no hurry, he slowly began the long journey back to New Berlin, taking work along the way. Here and there he would make a trade, or haul a cargo, steadily
making his way the long way across Sirius. Upon arriving on New Berlin in the dying days of the year, he made his way to the family estate, only to discover that his mother had passed away a few days previously, and the family's estates were being liquidated to cover their substantial debts. After attending his mother's funeral, not knowing what to do, he
sought out the only living person he knew in Rheinland: Gerd Albrecht, now owner of a small private flight school. In addition to his private life, Gerd had been reactivated
into the Reserve-Dienst in 817 A.S. for the Rheinland-Liberty war, and was serving as Reserve-Kapitan of the Bismark-Klasse RNC Falkengraf while she underwent her refit
trials, and re-activation shakedown cruise in preparation for active service.


In the week following his return to New Berlin, Morn spent most of his time sitting around the flight school, catching up on the many military manuals his uncle had gathered
for him in preparation for a return to duty with the Rheinwehr. Thanks to Gerd's efforts, he was commissioned a Pilot and junior officer, and assigned a VHF Wraith in the
RNC Falkengraf's Fighter Wing. One evening, returning from duty aboard the battleship, currently sitting in New Berlin's Orbit, Gerd brought with him an officer of the MND
who claimed to have been close to Morn's father; he assured him that any issues had been resolved, and appropriate records cleared so as to not raise the wrong questions -
a life of service was now open to Reinhardt. Thanks to the savings he had gathered on his jobs over the years, and the timely payout of a contract owned him by a Kusari
organisation, Reinhardt was even able to save his family home from auction - although the lands and much of house's contents had to be sold off all the same. Commissioned,
and relatively content with life, Reinhardt set to his duties under his uncle's command.

Following a futher two weeks of fitting, maintenance schedules, training exercises and battle drills, the RNC Falkengraf was finally released on its refit shakedown; assigned
to a three-system patrol testing various environmental factors and putting the ship through its paces in anticipation of its final delivery to front line commands. The body
of the cruise was uneventful, revealing only minor issues aboard ship - which were routinely corrected as the tour went on. The only notable incidents occured during the
final days of the cruise in a 6 hour period, while the Battleship traversed the Thuringen System. Following an initial, unexpected, contact with a lone ship which was
believed to have been of Bundschuh origin, the ship was stopped to analyse why the ship had not been spotted on long range scanners.

While this was on-going, the ship came under sudden and massive attack from dozens of fighters and bomber vessels operating in a well coordinated wolf-pack. The
RNC Falkengraf's primary systems, including weapons and shields, were devasted in the first few seconds of the attack. A direct nuclear impact against the armored plating of
the command deck caused a hull-breach and a series of secondary explosions killed the majority of the ships senior staff, including Reserve-Kapitan Gerd Albrecht, who died
at his post. Unable to launch fighter's due to heavy damage to the launch bay, and effectively unable to fight back, the RNC Falkengraf was helplessly adrift in space within
a few minutes. And then, just as suddenly as it had begun, the attack ended. Perhaps the enemy believed the ship lost as it fell out of the astral plane, burning, dead in
space.

With no other officers to be found, Reinhard von Ehrenberg took command of the ship. Issuing orders that any man still living was to man the nearest station
he could find, they regained control of the battered vessel and on thruster power alone limped home.


Badly wounded himself, Reinhardt was admitted to the closest Military Medical Hospital upon reaching safe orbit, where he was treated for severe internal injuries, major
burns across sides and back, the loss of his biological right eye (replaced by cybernetics), as well as chronic nerve damage to his right hand and leg. With no further
directives; while the repairs to the RNC Falkengraf began - the damage having being so serious, it necessitated a virtually complete rebuild of the ship - Reinhardt
submitted his report, and application to the First Fleet Capital Command Training Programme.

Current Status: Recuperating from injuries sustained in line of duty, Light duties with Reserve forces. Awaiting further process/Orders.
