The Oberkommando has conferred regarding your application, and has decided to approve it, granting you the rank of Fahnrich. The Grossadmiral continues the practice of probation for junior officers without adequate historical background. Perform your duties as normal, but make sure to keep up with your reading, and your probation flight time will count towards further advancement. Upon the conclusion of your probation, you will be interviewed by Grossadmiral Henze to determine your eligibility to continue in your current rank.

In the meantime, consider the active billets carefully. While a favorable posting may not be secured, the Oberkommando will do its best to compromise between the needs of each young officer and that of the Rheinwehr.

► Brief biography: I took up various trading jobs across Sirius since an early age (around 18). One particular incident involving the Red Hessians caused me to lose my ship and almost all the credits I have gathered so far. Alone, old and with no hope in sight I was approached one day on the streets of New Berlin by a tall gentleman with a funny uniform. After lengthy discussions at the bar this man convinced me that revenge is a fool's game and that I should pick myself up and start from scratch, and that everything I do, I should do for myself and for the country I was born in. He was right. I am here to apply to improve my combat abilities and to serve the people that make Rheinland great.
► Remarkable encounters with the Rheinwehr, or while representing the Rheinwehr as an indie soldat: Yes, I was present and lended my help to the Emperor in reaching New Paris safely.

Reasons for joining the Kaiserliche Rheinwehr
I want to improve myself and to defend the country from continuous pirate attacks. As Rheinland becomes richer and richer, so will the pirate attacks multiply and I want to be there for the citizens.

► Brief biography: I was born on Planet Neu Berlin, and did my studies in scientific sector, following a bit the input my dad gave me, being himself a radar technician. His departure as escort for a mission with the Battlecruiser Trier was dramatic for me, since he never got back from it. This definitely made me curious to understand more and thus by enlist after getting my degree. I've worked with the Rheinwehr since then, serving mainly with patrols around Rheinland, until the Sigma War started. During those days i was part of the attacking fleet. Then, the void. My ship exploded, and i woke up 2 weeks ago, 5 years later.
► Remarkable encounters with the Rheinwehr, or while representing the Rheinwehr as an indie soldat: Sigma War, and if memory serves me right, a clash with Corsairs in Omicron Xi, when i saw a nomad for the first time ever.

I'm still processing this sudden "jump" in time, and how i lost so many years. But now that i'm alone and confused with all the things that have changed, Rheinwehr is probably the only link i have left with my past

► Remarkable encounters with the Rheinwehr, or while representing the Rheinwehr as an indie soldat: I have served under His Excellency, Karl-Heinz von Thielau; I have also worked closely with Mr. Gerwald Klaus during the initial years of the Civil War, shoring up the Rheinwehr's status. I have also represented the Rheinwehr proudly against the Liberty Republic in Hudson and spoke with several high-ranking Unioner commanders, amongst which those in charge of the Sirene.

Reasons for joining the Kaiserliche Rheinwehr
Above all, serving the cream of the crop of Rheinland. I have helped the Rheinwehr in the past on countless occasions and, although my recent status as a reserve officer does diminish my prestige in the eyes of the Kaiser, I forever remain loyal to His Majesty.

I must admit to being impressed that one of your advanced position has chosen to forgo his rightly earned retirement in favor of continuing active duty. I suspect your reserve status was deliberately maintained by an unsympathetic administration, but that is all over now. Here I should mention a note of warning - your close relationship with Herr von Thielau does not in any way entitle you to special treatment. Indeed, I will unfortunately have to reduce you in rank to Kapitan zur See, due to your lack of experience leading a flotte on the modernized battlefield. ► Brief biography: Coming from a Hamburg family loyal to the Kaiser and having served in the Rheinland Marines for 14 years, Franz’ little brother Maximilian just became a Kadett in the Kaiserreichpolizei. This spurred Franz to apply for a lateral career move into working on the titanic capital ships that form the invincible bulwark protecting Rheinland from the dangers of the sector. Franz intends to use his infantry combat experience to approach space combat in cunning and brutal fashions.
► Remarkable encounters with the Rheinwehr: Seeing the massive ships supporting Franz’ marine squads left a remarkable impression on him. He’ll never forget his gratitude for the spectacle of plasma hellfire vaporizing his enemies from space during intense ground battles.

Foreign enemies include Corsairs who sometimes invade Rheinland Sovereign space (they must be stopped!!!), criminals like Outcasts and the Order, and of course the looming Nomad threat with their infested humans. Lastly the Coalition is enemy to all of Sirius.

► Brief biography: Karl Holzner is the son of a currently serving Rheinland Captain, Erich Holzner. Born on a farming estate in Stuttgart, Karl's father broke with family tradition and applied to join the Rheinwehr. This, combined with the death of his mother in a suspected Synth arson attack on the estate, left Karl largely in the care of his grandparents. Karl would be put through a largely conservative upbringing as a result of their background. Tempered by deteriorating conditions in Rheinland, and supposed lost victories, the result was a vengeful son, gradually being spurred on to fight for Rheinland. The spillover of political tension in Rheinland granted Karl a clean shot at this. Spurred on by his grandparents and the defection of his father to the Imperialists, Karl joined an Imperialist militia in Stuttgart. At the onset of the civil war, he was involved in several actions fighting the few Federalist police units attempting to prevent the Imperial uprising. Following the initial phases of the civil war and the growing attrition rates among pilots, his militia was put through spaceflight training and pressed into combat. While Karl performed relatively well, many of his comrades faced a similar fate to their predecessors, resulting in the loss of most of the militia group. Eventually, he would end up as squadron leader, gloomily noted as being the result of his senior NCOs dying. Despite this, reassignment to defensive duty at Oder would see him survive the war. This would see the disbandment of his militia however, though he chose to enroll in the military academy to continue his service.***
► Remarkable encounters with the Rheinwehr, or while representing the Rheinwehr as an indie soldat: ***As a member of an Imperial affiliated militia, Karl has seen sporadic ground combat and occupation duties. Many of these actions were done in cooperation with official military units. Upon his militia's move to space warfare, he would be pressed into suicidal snub combat against hardened Federalist units. Pressed into squadron leadership, he would prove to at least be capable of surviving, something his predecessors weren't.

Reasons for joining the Kaiserliche Rheinwehr
Following the end of the civil war and a gradual loss of purpose in civilian life, I have decided to use what skills I have to good use and follow my father's footsteps by serving the Rheinwehr.

► Are you familiarized with the current conflicts in Rheinland? Outline them (copy/paste will mean immediate and permanent rejection): Rheinland is undergoing a multitude of conflicts both within and on it's direct borders. In Omega-7, there was recently a corporate war between Rheinland corporations and the IMG, "allegedly" backed by Rheinland dissidents and enemies. There was a degree of involvement from both Rheinwehr and BDM personnel in the fighting. This ended with the silver crisis and a degree of negotiation. On the northern border, Sigma-15 is technically disputed with the GMG. This has seen only sporadic incidents, although more concerningly Corsair activity in the area is ramping up dramatically. The Corsairs are waging war with the Hessians, and although their activity within Rheinland borders is minimal, Rheinland ships are often caught in the crossfire. In Rheinland itself, many dissident groups seek to overthrow the government. The Red Hessians, primarily based out of Dresden seek a socialist Rheinland, although they have been put on the backfoot after a campaign in Dresden. Concerningly they have Coalition backing. In and around Hamburg, the Unioners of Alster also have socialist leanings, although are at odds with their former Hessian comrades. The Bundschuch movement, once aligned with the Federalists seek a more liberal government, although allegedly this may vary by cell, and routinely launch terrorist attacks. Of less concern are the former LWB, mostly out to destroy Synth Foods for ruining their livelihoods out of greed.

► Link to any existing RP you’d like to share (doesn’t have to be Rheinland-related): All my roleplay is outside of forums, unfortunately. Though I know everyone processing this has seen my my actions in-game and my characters.

► Reason for joining?: After having been mistaken for various RM players the past three days, including Barrier somehow, reviewing my activity on the tracker, and realizing I log this ID to an extreme, along with repeated requests (mostly from Arne), I decided I might as well finally join. I also really like how the sprite in the ID looks.
