Subject:BMF and an abandoned base

Money and Bases
First of all - this is not my forte...but we have to do anything to see the The Royalists and The Gallic Union burn. We have discovered an abandoned base in Gallia...clearly whoever was there left in a hurry. It actually is in a vital place where we need presence, and would be extremely important for our cause and assaults on the nearby Union assets.
Is there anyone in The Front that wants to head the project? Reply as soon as you can and we can begin the repairs and trying to make it functional

Bretonia Mining and Fabrication
I met with one BMF|FS-Dylan.Hunt. And I will be honest with you. That man repulses me to the bone. He doesn't care about anything but money, has no conviction at all...It's like the bastard is from another universe. I had to hold myself back not to blow his ship to pieces even if it would mean going down with his gunboat in flames.

But the prick is right...We to need to at least try toplay the Royalists at their own game too, and we need money and supplies for that. If we have to use spineless weasels like these people for that, however much I hate it... I suppose we have to explore that angle too.

The Snake said he will contact us silently through back channels, and only do things if it will mean money in his coffers...If any of you can stomach that, and even see if we can use those people to make the above base functional - by all means I won't stand in your way. It's just not my cup of coffee. Now we are just waiting to hear from him.

Acquiring recources
On a leisurly resource raising stroll through the Taus we came across one operator of Cardamine.Store.Alpha. I must say I'd never put it this way - but he believes we share some . . . ideology.

Quote:[] Cardamine.store.Alpha: But we are more the same than you think.
[] Cardamine.store.Alpha: Only I sniff cardamine and you like to sniff wine.
After this, staring into my guns he kindly donated his entire cargohold.

Applying Resources
Well since our ships can't use the fuel there was only one thing to do with this junk - liberate some Royalist collaborators. From Life.

We took the materials and fuel near Vierzon Mining Facility, Rigged them with a remote detonator and dropped them both into space - making it look like one of the transport ships going to and from the base might have dropped the Alloy by accident.

And sure enough, after some waiting, one of the collaborator transports supplying The Royalists took the bait and tried to pick the Alloy up.

They are all dead, their charred bodies floating through space and we scored another win!

This is what I'd call a sucessfull afternoon. Pour Gallia!

Millitary Success
I am finally getting used to this fancy Capital Ship class technology we recently acquired.
Here are the explosions of RNS-Grande.Harmonie, GRN|RNFS-Chant.du.Cygne -|-Valiente and [KNF]IKN-Haruna. I'd never thought say I'd say this - but conventional warfare can actually be successful too.

P.S. Not sure if I dreamed it, but I might have spotted an actual Corse pilot in the Taus. I could swear I heard a little from one FN|Louis.Robiquet, but he sounded a bit like a drone - if there really is a new Corse group around, we might want to look into that.

Quote:[] FN|Louis.Robiquet: Detecting a [MAQUIS] vessel, moving in to analyze.

Operations Log
31 January
Kusari-Sigma Worlds

Yes! Our resources continue to muster! Our forces under Boucher's direction are cuasing mayhem in lower Gallia and the Taus. We've recently perfected our... cargo acquisition techniques... most often targetting the corporate pigs working the mining fields. Boucher secured a hold of military salvage off some helpless saps and through our contact sourcing we heard we could earn some scratch if we brought it to the Sigmas border worlds. I jumped in my fighter to escort Boucher's transport and we took off throught the taus and central Kusari.

Along the way, we questioned a Orbital Spa guy about narrowing down our possible sellpoint and found out about a Freelancer station hidden in Sigma 13. We reached the station and found a buyer just as the man said and got rid of that crap and took off once more. This time our destination was another small installation across the gas clouds to score some high value artifacts. Along the way, some delusional Maltese warship with "Hyperspace Star.." blah blah transponders thought he'd make us his prey. hahaha. What a fool.

We easily evaded the marauding slaver and made wake for our destination. Several thousand tons of artifacts were secured in Bouchers transport and our path took us back home to inner Gallia. Whilst in route, we made contact over comms to a buyer of the Brigands on Beaumont and reaped a decent load of creds to help the cause.

Today was an easy day, and a nice change of scenery, though we didn't get to blow up Royalists as none of 'em made effort to stop us, I did get to jettison a Maltese pilot into the explosive clouds of Tau 53 on the way home, thats always fun.

Time to kick it.

Bizzare systems and scientists
Not my cup of tea, but the massive activity in The Taus lead me to explore these avenues. A company I've never met (or heard of) before - Planetform got many people hauling for it - I wanted to see what the commotion was about.

And of course, managed to get myself lost in some weird ass system.

I saw people there hauling some sort of organizm crap I couldn't give a damn about. After being lost in that place, the Planetform folks finally told me where to get the hell out.

I even had some action against The Sniffers, side by side with some randos - Zoners, Outwerlders or some such?

I couldn't put my finger on where the hell I have seen their kind before - but then it hit me There is a base who's name I don't know in a system I still don't know the name of, in an area I don't know what it's called that buys the Molybdenium Ore GMS keeps "donating" at gunpoint to us from time to time.

Taking a huge risk, paying 10,000,000 on a hunch to sell some ore in a combat transport in a far flung unknown place sure sounds like a scam and is a dumb waste of resources isn't it?
Not for me, I like it.

And these Zoner people might be the ones I met there - I'm just curious who they are, one of them gave us a call, medical person or some such. Maybe he can help us after our next bloody operation...Speaking of which.

The Time has come! Move all your combat assets to Orkney, show no mercy, fiight fiercely but intelligently.
Follow Arthur Clement for direct assault operation, and yours truly and The Gaians for the cunning bombing of the convoy maneuver. And try your best to help the Brigands navigate the battlefield.

We expect heavy losses, but pay those no mind - the thousands of Royalist lives we will snuff out, and more importantly the message to The Union our strike will send
- That the people of Gallia will not sit idly by as they let the Enclave rejoin them and rule again like nothing happened - will be more than worth it.

Deja-Vu!
It would appear we have new rugged admirerers in Gallia! In a way this one reminds me of those Kusari Ladies - nothing personal, no hate or a priority, but fun to spar with indeed!

After the friendly greetings and a small exchange, we agreed to hone our skills, readying for foes more serious.
Quote:[01.03.2021 19:30:31] [FLG]Liberte-2: Good luck my new friend! What is a scraped ship in light of practice!
[01.03.2021 19:30:46] BHG|Warrior'': Good luck my new friend! What is a scraped ship in light of practice!

The pilot was a skilful sparing partner indeed - and should you run into him in your free time, feel free have your fun too! But remember - The Union villains are always to be a priority before any friendly jousts with Sirians.

Gallia is coming alive!
First our great victory side by side with The Gaians and Brigands along with Sirian support including Ageira in Orkney, where although we found out a direct military confrontation with The Union is still a no-go in the open we ended the lives of thousands of Enclave pigs in a succesfull bombing via a captured liner.

We have then strenghtened our ties with The Brigands by assisting them with moving a vital base to a perfectly disguised location through the means most close to us - assaulting The Royal Pawns and Union Traitors, side by side with Brigands. The move of the base was succesfull, I have seen the planned location of it, and it will be a stronghold of Brigand, Maquis and Corse activity in Gallia without a doubt.

We ended the day with a black market munitions acquiring convoy with Unione Corse.
We were able to blend in with them again thanks to using a stolen liner that allowed us to pass through Gallia without The Navy sniffing us out. There is a new group (to me) called The Junkers who seem extremely capable at recovering and re-purpossing debris from space - The Brigands managed to use them to help us acquire old Council Technology, and what we can't use, we hauled with The Corsicans, side by side in a four ship convoy. These people sure know how to smuggle, and despite some...communication...difficulties where it seemed like I was talking to a wall at times, our liner and their L'anes bursting with Nox made it safely to our destination and back.

It is tremendous to see The Gallic Underworld thriwing - massive joint assault operations, fights, convoys, mining, even a base all Gallic factions have helped to get going and protect together. If we stay on the current trajectory The Union has no chance against our massive growth.

Intel,
Sometimes comes at a price. Looks like we are not the only ones after the Council, Kusari and other Gallic tech leftover from The latest War.

I arrived happy, seeing three defenseless miners and haulers. I figured hey - I will be lenient - and simply requested a quick execution of the Gallic Navy pilots I captured earlier

Code:
[] IDF|Strasbourg: Tavernier: Collaborating with whom?
[] [FLG]Liberte-2: Oh bon
[] [FLG]Liberte-2: you are not the Gallic Navy collaborateurs?
[] [FLG]Liberte-2: Perhaps I had it all wrong!
[] EFL~L'Ebauchoir: Oh oui.
[] [FLG]Liberte-2: Well
[] [FLG]Liberte-2: I have merely one request
[] EFL~L'Ebauchoir: Do you now?
[] [FLG]Liberte-2: I want you to execute the 2 Gallic Navy pilots I will jettison
[] [FLG]Liberte-2: And you are free to go

So far so good...for about two minutes, after which a full squadron of reds appeared out of nowhere .

I took a solid beating from 2 Lynxes jumping on my tail, they roughed me up, roughed me up good - but you know what they say, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. What's a couple liters of blood lost here and there in the grand scheme of things?

Moral of the story is: Kill them, burn them all, them and their families - Gallic Navy, GNI, SBIB or whatever it was. For the good of Gallia! And for the love of god - keep an eye on the corporate types and slow them down, or there will be no free technology up for grabs floating around pretty darn soon.

From:Lionel Boucher
Subject:Roussillon and Military expansion

The time has come - we have to think about eventually being able to face The navy head to head. We are in the process of formally appointing the head of our Military arm. Now if you ask me - those fresh new Ex-Council commanders sometimes don't sit right with me. They speak all merde polished and such. They do congratulate you when you come back from a heroic collaborator family burning, but they seem to lack the sheer enthusiasm for those heroic feets like us lifetime Maquisards possess.

Nevertheless, they do have my respect for joining us and putting their lives on the line for our cause - better late than never as they say. So as we integrate with them, it's time to think how we can enable our Military arm.

The plan is laid out as follows:

Roussillon
I won't beat around the bush. Solely relying on Verdun for everything relating our capital ships, from production, repair to maintenance is haphazard, even for us. There's no reason to hide anything in Roussillon, we can build there freely and kill anyone who opposes us. Caussade was kept a humble installation because it was deep in enemy terriroty and any larger scale logistics would risk it's discovery. That is no longer case.

We will carefully select third parties to help expand the base with a battleship capable dry-dock. Balian Remi heads the project and plans are already well underway to make it happen.

Recovering damaged Council tech
In a join operation with The Brigands, Unione Corse and The Junkers we have been focusing on recovering parts and pieces of military salvage and old Council technology, primarily from the battle areas - currently we are focusing on Languedoc that is ripe with Council debrie.

The usable parts are shipped to Roussillon to ready materials for the drydock, to replace damaged Pamiers technology and ready for the next phase of our plan

Acquiring intact Council ships
One of our Ex-Council military commanders has very detailed intel and knowledge of The Champagne system. This is where The Union sends intact and fully operational Council technology for repairs and replacement/deconstruction. Getting it directly will require careful planning as we are talking about advanced infiltration and/or direct assault (or my favourite - using the latter as a decoy for the former).

We will nonetheless attempt just that. One of our bold plans is to even capture another Council battleship to bolster our fleet. We don't expect to drag it all the way out to Roussillon without damage if we succeed - it is absolutely vital the Caussade battleship repair capable drydock is operational by the time we attempt such a feet. We also need to have sufficient technology, armaments, materials stockpiled for repairs and retrofits ready.

Leftover Military Salvage
There is a lot of damaged technology even the Junkers can't process, and a lot of Kusarian tech that is incompatible with ours. We have found buyers in several places. One of them are Freelancers in Sigma-13

We have gone on just such a run with Brigitte on her [FLG]NT-L'Ami-du-Peuple today and succesfully traded the unusable junk for various...things, including the all important side arms.

If anything this has shown me that I should stick to what I know - wholesome killing of those that rightfully deserve it, and let other people in The Front lead our logistics. As I accidentally dropped all my cargo and would lose all those damn things if Brigitte didn't point that out and we went back all the way to get it.

These are exciting times for The Front - frankly, it is hard for me to keep up with it all being the old single minded passionate Maquisard I am. Us hardened old schoolers need to get with the time, and start to give responsibility and delegate to people we previously did not, nor had to, understand. The Council did this for us, but they betrayed us and are long gone, However uncomfortable it might be we have to come to terms that conventional Military brains, logistics experts and even diplomacy oriented Maquisards are becoming vital part of our movement.

My escorts and I gathered in Tau 53 today for our planned meeting with the newly reorganized Rose Dragons of Kusari. Unfortunately, we had barely gathered and exchanged greetings when a significant force of Kusari authorities arrived to break up our gathering.

Quickly drawing the battle lines and forming up with our new Dragon friends, our forces engaged in a fierce firefight. We aided in melting several Police and Navy vessels when, approximately half way through the scuffle, my hull became compromised and I had to jettison to safety. In the end all hostiles were eliminated or fled the scene thanks to the skill and finesse of the Rose Dragons fighters. Victory in hand, our heroes hosted a celebratory party for our new friends on Lapalisse with as much booze and other Gallic delights and I even got to watch Boucher try and sip some Sake haha. We plan to reschedule our diplomatic endeavors for the near future.

Subject:New Lancer

The former GRN turned Maquis Lancer Lavigned is showing promise
When in TAU-23 we encountered a maximally armoured "Corvo" Sirian deep space explorer doing some science research.

Lavigned showed no hesitation in attacking the science vessel that refused our demands to stop, and we murdered the crew in cold blood. Lavigned even decided to heroically point blank assault the tough science ship in his light fighter when it looked like it could get away - and was sent packing into an escape pod. That's the haphazard life risking heart and commitment I want to see from someone we aren't sure we can trust!

Later in the day we teamed up with The Corsican Alfredo Orsini, and The Lancer joined the crew of The Guillotine

The result? We forced An Outcast battlecruiser to flee and The Corsican took down a sniffer Battletransport.

The Lancer is up to a good start, he still has a long way to go before we entrust him with our secrets and infiltration plans.
