I've read many poetic aphorisms and wise words with lots of sarcasm etc... the most useful one in my life
however was sadly not so poetic, but wise nonetheless.

It doesn't matter what you do, sooner or later you begin to feel incompetent because you get stuck at one
point and don't know the answer to your problem. I found out that ignoring powerful sources of information
(such as search engines in general) and proving your lack of knowledge by asking others makes you seem
incompetent at finding the answers by yourself and labels you as someone who constantly needs a "guiding
hand" to help you out.

Even thou it clearly states "google" the message is obviously directed at generic sources of information.
