It looks alright to me. I can't tell why it's happening to you. Consider a fresh reinstall, if that's bothering you.

Is this pack still compatible with the discovery mod?

It always should be, however some systems have new content that isn't replaced by the graphic mod. For example, Poole's sun.

Basically what Sombra Hookier said. It is still comparable. Unless new stuff with brand new files is added it should be good.

A year later, I finally though of a fix for the buggy player ship icon. That will be up soon.

Also I was messing around with the cursors. I tried to make them more HD but that didn't work out. However I did manage to make the cursor a bit "better".

I like how the "New" cursor looks. But I'm hesitant to put it in the pack because this is kind of subjective. Someone might prefer the smaller cursor.
So um... should I leave the cursor as it is? Or do you think it's a minor change and leave it as it is. I suppose I can leave it as an option. But If I do that for every little thing... oh boy.

How do you apply transparency to a .tga/.dds?

RE: Ultimate Freelancer Graphics and SFX Pack v1.1 - DragonRider - 10-08-2017

I just export them as .tga in Gimp and they work.

RE: Ultimate Freelancer Graphics and SFX Pack v1.1 - Sombs - 10-08-2017

Weird, I never got that to work, using Gimp, IrfanView or PhotoFiltre. :/ Do you have special settings for Gimp? A plug-in or something?
