Starpoint Gemini 2 - Primus Avatar - 09-18-2013
Just wanted you guys to know that it's available on Steam via Early Access. It expands on the "Freelancer formula" and will additionally feature even tactical and RPG gameplay elements. Freeroam and Campaign modes are planned.

The game is in very early Alpha and most of the features are still not implemented. However, even in this early state the game is exceptionally moddable. The proper tools are still not out yet but the entire database and all assets are in readable format. Some members are looking for additional modders to team up and start their projects.

New trailer shows a lot of new features (some based on community suggestions) made since October
the holiday update today even brought an Energy management module (so you can transfer energy from weapons to shields or engines) and a "Fire at will" command that tells the troops on your ship to automatically unleash hell on all nearby enemies around the ship
