Spazzy got his first Android - sindroms - 01-24-2014

So....how do I this?

I bought a Samsung Galaxy Chat B5330

http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_chat_b5330-4866.php

First thing I noticed is that

"Android OS, v4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), upgradable to v4.1.2 (Jelly Bean)"
Should I do that? What does it change?

Also, last phone I had didn't even have a camera or Wifi. Sooo...what are apps and what should I get.

Can't remember the program, or how it was done.... But there is a program you can use that encrypts anything your phone sends to another person with the same app.

Excellent for those less than legal drug dealings.

Downside it kills bluetooth and camera, as these days those two combined can get you in trouble from an external interfering agency.

The first thing you need to do is publish your number here so everyone in the community can show you how helpful they love to be in setting it up.

Jelly Bean is performance-wise better than sandwich, also has some new nice features that you might like (like split-screening).

The power usage was also optimized on jelly bean, so you'll find out that your battery lasts considerably longer.

i hope its not like my samsung galaxy, that needs to be charged at least twice a day, just sitting here doing nothing
also check your internal memory, againif lits like mine you might need to transfer alot of stuff to the mini sd card

to do that youll need to "root" your phone

RE: Spazzy got his first Android - Jonas Valent - 01-24-2014

Get jelly bean its much better also I strongly advise you to root the phone. It allows you to get rid of the worthless factory apps and allows you to do almost anyhting with it.

Edit: Some apps will not run on a rooted phone but the vast majority will.
