That is damn awesome. I love playing Orbiter, especially with the DX9 and DX11 enhancement modules. I'll definetely check this out!

DX9? DX11?
My Intel GMA 3600 (Yes, I use it to draw the lvl 8 textures! Hardcoreous!) works properly only with native DX7.

Ah well, that's sad. The said modules, allowing the Orbiter program to use the newer versions of DirectX can make things look pretty nice.

i assume by serious project you mean there won't be a planet/moon where you could reach escape velocity using atmospheric propulsion systems alone? Is that even scientifically possible?

The escape velocity of Deimos is about 20 km/h, a speed easily reached on a bicycle.
