Works for me. Use caps lock for it.

I do not believe the Afterburn On key binding actually works, much like many key bindings that are technically in Freelancer but were never used in the final game.

EDIT: Apparently it works for Narcotic.

I use tab for it. If you use caps lock do you have to hold it?

RE: afterburn on? - Echo 7-7 - 04-10-2014

I have Afterburn On bound to the ~ key. Reguarl Afterburn is bound to the Tab key (the vanilla keybind for it).

Note that the Afterburn On key is not a switch; in order to turn off the Afterburner, you need to press the regular Afterburn button.

Just set it it to shift + tab. Similar to the shift + s to engage your engines. Shift + tab keeps your thruster one without having to hold it down. its a lot easier. that way tab still works for manual activation.

RE: afterburn on? - nOmnomnOm - 04-10-2014

yeah i just hold down the tab key while flying.
i guess its good for control but it hurts after a 15-30 min pew.
The only trick i know to keep it going is if i hold tab and then click the enter key to open chat. Then it locks in.

This...is probably the most sense-making thread you've ever posted here on Disco.
Kudos.

Agreed.

These couple NoMe posts are the only NoMe posts I have ever understood.
