Detailed Background, One Paragraph or So (the more we can learn about you, the better): My father worked for the LSF, and I joined the Liberty Navy to follow that tradition, but to be perfectly honest here, I didnt get far; I had... disagreements... with my instructors, I might've brought their mothers into it, apparently that kind of thing doesnt take you far in the Navy. After dropping out of West Point, I found work with the Bounty Hunter's Guild and have been flying for them ever since. I've done freelance work, been a hired gun, convoy escort, you name it.

Why do you want to join The Core/APM?: I found out about the Core through some old guild contacts, they said you're doing some kind of important work out here, fighting terrorists and aliens instead of just petty thieves and drug runners. I want in on that action, and I hear there's some real nice bleeding-edge tech involved too.

How long have you been playing Freelancer Discovery for?: 10+ years

Have you ever played a Core character before? Have you read the lore of The Core? Do you know what The Core is?: I've only recently made a core character, but I used to play (and still do) on the opposite side of things, so I've seen them from the outside in through the eyes of the Order and Nomads.

How familiar are you with the Edge Worlds?: A lot has changed in the past couple of years while I was absent from the server, but I'm getting re-acquianted with them pretty quickly. I've always spent more time in the edge worlds than anywhere else in disco, so my knowledge of them is pretty spot on.

How would you rate your RP skills out of 10?: Ingame, probably a 7 or 8. On the forums a 10. I'm an excellent writer, but sometimes I dont improvise quite so well on the fly as I would like, though writing character backgrounds, stories, and personalities out on the forums often helps me sort in my head what they'd act like in live encounters.

How would you rate your PvP skills out of 10? What ship-types are you good in?: 6 or 7 on the pvp skills, though it depends on the situation. In the past, I mostly used a Geb carrier for the order and did relatively well in it, though not amazing. However, I've always been relatively good in gunboats and bombers (I primarily flew a bomber for the Keepers all those years ago). Since my return to discovery, I'm finding that my skills are best suited to Gunboats, and the occasional SHF. My Core character currently has an Pleco Gunboat, and would like to keep it.

Why do you want to join the The Core?: I used to be a hardcore indie player, either making my own unofficial factions and working with the officials (as in the case of the Order) or just staying on my own. Times have changed though, and I've changed with them; I've come to realize that it's quite invaluable to have the resources of a faction to draw on, particularly other players - flying with a group is always more fun and more rewarding than flying alone, no matter what ship you're in or what you're doing.

Previous Jobs/Roles/Experience: After completing schooling I got contracted with Samura Heavy Industries to be a cargo handler in several station docks. I was given opportunity to intern as a bridge hand assisting a range of industrial ships. With experience is larger ship manuvering and management, I am looking to advance my knowledge and skill.

Detailed Background, One Paragraph or So (the more we can learn about you, the better): I was born to a blue collar family who worked on Misaki Station. As already stated I naturally worked for Samura Heavy Industries to gain some financial backing before purchasing my own mining vessel. Being a determined individual I purchased a mostly wrecked mining ship and rebuild it enough to start making money on my own. I expanded and purchased a Hegemon, and even more so by purchasing a Big Dragon. With the stagnation of the region I'm looking to move further from home and see what riches await on my journey.

Why do you want to join The Core/APM?: I am looking to join APM to further my experience and knowledge all while helping an organization that is bigger than just myself. APM is a vast manufacturing organization that not only produces various types of ships, but also supports the logistical demands of The Core. I believe there is a lot I can learn from APM. I would also like to use what I learn to advance APM and The Core.

How long have you been playing Freelancer Discovery for?: Recently I have played for a couple of weeks. However I used to play much more sever years ago. I have been keeping somewhat up to date during my break. I am just returning and seeking to join a good active industrial faction.

Have you ever played a Core character before? Have you read the lore of The Core? Do you know what The Core is?: No I have never played a Core character before. Yes I have read the majority of the lore of The Core. Yes I know what the The Core.

How familiar are you with the Edge Worlds?: I have moderate knowledge of the Edge Worlds. I have not personally done in depth exploration of ever system. With my trusty Nav Map and notes, I can get the job done.

How would you rate your RP skills out of 10?: 8

How would you rate your PvP skills out of 10? What ship-types are you good in?: 5, Being more of a defensive/Logistical player, I'm better at the bigger "sit here and unleash firepower" ships than the fast nimble ships. Alternatively I prefer the support ships that back up the main fighting fleet.

Why do you want to join the The Core?: I am interesting in joining the large industrial power of APM.

Detailed Background, One Paragraph or So (the more we can learn about you, the better): My pilot career has begun at the age of 18 when I enlisted in the Liberty Navy. After completing basic training and pilot course, I have been re-assigned to the reserves. It was a dull assignment, sitting all day in the armory, polishing boots and weapons. I decided to leave shortly after and applied for Interspace Commerce merchant fleet. Due to my experience and knowledge, I have been given the command of a Grizzly-class freighter. A simple two-seater, doing runs between Manhattan and Houston. One day, my convoy ended up in an ambush. With my quick reflexes, I have managed to take one of the Rogues down and slip past the others unharmed. It was enough to prove myself and be reassigned to security wing. From that day, I have been participated in over hundred assignments and more than dozen engagements.

Why do you want to join The Core/APM?: I'm a thrill-seeker. I got tired of generic assignments and living a life that consists of endless cycle of dull assignments and sleep. I want more, I need more. I expect the Omicrons will offer me something far more exciting than shooting down people with foul breath and escorting low-risk Boron shipments.

Detailed Background, One Paragraph or So (the more we can learn about you, the better): Born on Planet New Berlin in 796 A.S, son of Kruger transport pilot called Heiko Lamper. After the school Jakob got recruited by a Rheinland Military officer called Jakob Von Braun, he served only for a short time, when he found out that some people are not really trustworthy, so he joined his father on his transport ship where he worked as the security officer. The job was kinda boring and soon he started to dream about his own ship, flying around the systems to earn the needed cash, but he realised kinda fast that his current payment is not enough to realise his dream. While watching out of the window of the transport ship, he got contacted by the Valkyrie Freikorps who offered the Kruger vessel a escort through the dangerous Sigma systems. Watching the cool man flying around in their Sabres and destroying every vessel that tried to stop them, inspired him to join them. He became a Valkyrie Freikorps pilot and now was earning alot more cash, which he put on his bank accounts. Only after 3 years the Valkyrie Freikorps leadership disappeared and the Freikorps went inactive, in the meantime Jakob watched the news and became a lazy citizen who lived from his hard earned money. With the recent events, that Rheinland declared another war against the Gas Miners, Jakob took a shuttle into the Edge Worlds, where he heard rumors about ex. Valkyrie Freikorps pilots working for the Core.

Why do you want to join The Core/APM?: Rheinland is moving more and more into the wrong direction, it's time to join one of our closest allies and maybe to find some old friends.

Detailed Background, One Paragraph or So (the more we can learn about you, the better): I was born on Ames Research Station, my parents both being scientists who worked in the laboratories there. I grew up on the station, with my parents hope that I would follow in their footsteps, learning the craft of molecular biology. By the time I was a teenager, I grew tired of the constant study and homework, desiring a more exciting life. I was befriended by a Freelancer who taught me about his life and his ship whenever he was visiting the station, while travelling through to Liberty space from Kusari. My parents were moving position to different roles on Atka Research Station in Sigma 17. As we were travelling there, we stopped on Planet Honshu en route. From there I ran away, finding my way by begging passage and hiding on transports until I made my way to Freeport 8, where I met up with my Freelancing friend from old.
After spending a number of years learning the ways of being a Freelancer, I eventually earned enough credits to purchase my own ship and venture out on my own. I worked my way around various contracts, starting with convoy escorts and recon missions, before moving up the food chain to more dangerous missions. After spending considerable time involved in such ventures, I grew bored, feeling purposeless and wandering aimlessly, taking random jobs for the credits.
I found my way back to Freeport 8, more for a trip of nostalgia, but also harboring the hope that I would find a new purpose in that place. To my good fortune, I met some pilots there from the Core paramilitary wings, who extolled the benefits and purpose of being part of an organization such as yourselves. I was convinced that joining the Core was the direction I needed, fitting with my own ideals.

Why do you want to join The Core/APM?: Be part of an organization that operates in the Edge Worlds, where different challenges from the norm are sure to present themselves.
