Both are Kusari after all... except for diplomatic difficulties.

We are not allied to Kishiro, as we are to ALG.
And we know very well that Samura and Kishiro share no love for each other.
The Hogosha, our enemys , are the dirtmongers for Samura.
Why should we not offer Kishiro an opportunity to trade our PremScrap ?
And react very friendly if they agree and open us an opportunity to trade with H3 on our way back ?

Pls do think about this :
Our Faction is still developing.
We have not jet tried to reach official faction status, so we still use base IFF / rep from the ID we use.
T&T/ : Freelancer Liberty
J/T&T/ : Junker ID
From there on we develop our Rep / IFF through role play.

So far, the Tinkers group has been playing well, and achieving a good balance when dealing with the Kusari market, which by nature would be extremely suspicious of any Junker affiliation or partnership.

I do not question that T&T can or can not be friendly to Kishiro. In my perspective it's mainly the Hogosha/Samura perspective that influences the general view on Junkers. Kishiro is not forced to follow this perspective (except in the eyes of the law), and can indeed welcome the proposals of a company that works with Junkers.

Speaking on a Hogosha view, we just recently get knowledge of this company that works with Junkers.
However, we understand that they are not Junkers (not the ones that come to Kusari), so we cannot directly enforce our "opressive will" of keeping Junkers out.
Still, it is a lucrative business, that is potentially benefiting our enemies. Of course the Hogosha will try to find to cut some of the profits for themselves, first through extortion and threats, and in last resort through our limited direct piracy.

I do not wish to proceed with a plot to incriminate the faction in such a way that they are banned out of Kusari, and lose their main reason for activity. I hope that the future interactions get more active, without damaging any of the roles of each side.

About the criminal status and unresponsiveness, the fact is that the charge was filed by the RKS (our most recent Kusari police department), and recently that same faction lays dormant due to rl/technical issues. Hopefully that will change soon (unless he's a full Junker, that way he will be kept out).

Keep going, it is an interesting story you're making with your group.

@WPeregrine - actually thanks for the great feedback

When I joined the faction in its infancy we wanted it to have an option of selling premium scrap, other than selling it to Alpha or gamma. So our alternatives were Yokohama, Sabah, Singapore or Aland. We chose Yokohama first since it was the most profitable/nearest but we are also working on Sabah and hopefully once singapore deguards we will try to sell there too.
Each Shipyard comes with its own pro and cons though and we will try to work it out inRP.
We don't actually mind interaction with hogosha. I noticed the faction is being active again. its actually nice that kusari factions getting active again haven't seen an RKS player in awhile. Rob made this faction primarily as an RP trading faction / profits come in second. We try to tell our other members to try follow the rules set by our faction and not to break a rules of others too.
There's actually only a few of us active about 4 or 5 at this time.

And as previously said we're still developing, I myself only joined disco last July, so naturally we would make mistakes along the way and if some we didn't noticed we greatly appreciate feedback so we can fix it.

I fully agree , thx for the Feedback.

The *Hog´s* as we are nicknaming them, give us quite a nice angle to our RP,
and a very good reason to expand our market.
I`m at all times calming down our juniors, as I too do not believe that T&T/ will be banned from Kusari.
As for our Kusari *friends*...

I liked the RP, and it formed a bias from wich even our Freelance Traders work on.
We do not like Samura, but they pay best after the `sairs and ´casts.
We will try and ceep rep towards Samura neutral enouh to have docking allowance at Yokohama.
That´s enough, we do not need more - we do not WANT more.

For the interesting trade in Kusari there is still Kishiro *grins*

As for the Hogs : Most of us are Junkers, and the Freelance traders get influenced by that.
T&T uses Freelance ID, and has no free fire command like our Junkers.
Even our Junkers have a strict code : Talk first, shoot only to defend.
We are NOT the usual Junkers.
Oh... and being arrogant is definitively the WRONG way of dealing with us.
( never laughed so loud as with the comment on Tukkers *diplomatic skills*
- the funny thing is my Freelance Secretary now dislikes the Hogs more than my Junker Foreman ;-)


As I explained before :
We are white collar Junker/Freelance traders and blokade runners.
We do not smuggle ( as we cherish our quasi-legal rep ).
We do not pirate.
We are the close to lawful spectrum of the trinity JM| / .:j:. / T&T

We are a bunch of independent but still closely affiliated Truckers and Scrappers.
We fly everywhere and are even viewed with misstrust at home, but we work hard to earn respect.
As soon as somebody gains OUR respect or shows he understands us, we stay friendly.
No matter if it´s a Cop or a Robber. Because we understand that it´s only a point of view.
We would fly a long way to help friends.

We are not INTERESTED in politics or propaganda, cash counts.
Your blokade or embargo war is our possible profit, even though we would never start and set up a *professional smuggler ring*.
That´s not our style.

And for all players :
Even if some of us get quite wealthy along the way, T&T is not about making money fast.
There are better markets out there, more profit per second.
But we like to make money in style, trade the way we like it.
We are here for the RP, so we GREET Hogs getting anxious about us.

It shows we´re here, and kicking ;-)

History of Tinker & Transport

Tinker&Transport was founded in 821 AS by a group of libertonian Inverstors looking for an opening in the ever evolving trade and economy struggles between the *Big Three* and non-libertonian companies. With no real opportunity in sight some of them asked around till they found a couple of resourceful but trustworthy freelance traders.

They found Phileas Ottobert Tukker and his long time friend and partner FinnMcKannon : Two enterprising Freelancers with a good reputation of honesty. Mr. Tukker being an experienced borderworld trader and freelance supply runner with bretonian and rheinland parents, and McKannon an orphan from the Gallia to Liberty wars, flying his private Montante Gunboat as escort for his friend. Both where not only interested but suggested something that at first seemed quite unusual : a trade partnership with Junkers.
McKannon´s close childhood friend FynnMcScrap was looking for options to trade scrap metal and other recycled resources from Liberty to Kusari and beyond.

And so a cooperation started developing,
Freelance traders and Junker scrappers working together in a sharehold and cooperative setting. And it worked well. The Freelance traders got the connections they needed , and got a steady supply of tradeable prime sorted metal alloys, electronics and Hull plates. And the Junkers got fair pay and official trade and base licences, pulling them away from shadow markets and drug dealing or piracy. With hard work came pride, and wealth.
The Investors got fine cuts for their shareholds, and forgot about prejudice against their Junker employees, as the joung Junker Foreman and his two Freelance Partners had hoped.

Their plans continued to grow fast in this first jear: With the opening of the Haven Memorial Clinic and the dealing with the philantroph Sirius Relief Organization lead by Mr. William Walker they worked on bettering the reputation of the base and it´s crews, investing even more into Tinker&Transport and it´s affiliated Junker crews besids opening up a humanitarian Ambulance and MedEvac service for the Pilots and scrap workers in the radioactive debris fields, quickly expanding this service to other customers and clients.

And Junker skills came in handy while escorting the [SRO] Ships to Leeds for refugee evacuation , too.
Of course, Freelance and Junker opportunity´s come from the shady side... the "Tinkers" are known to run a blokade now and then, or have been met supplying a blackmarket base in one or the other uncharted areas of house and independent systems, too. But there is an iron code, enforced by their Foreman FynnMcScrap : No Orange, no Artefacts, No Black Market Munitions.

Blokade runners, free traders and MedEvac or mechanic services.
Walking a slim line between law and grey shade deals. The Haven is known as a trade platform without a Freeport status, but with close ties to Junkers and the more flexible of Liberty´s Traders. And usually a connection to the underground, too.
Tinker´s employees are aware that trust and reputation is essential for their work, as stated in theiry behavioral code :
Value integrity over lawful conduct. But never forget the local laws and follow them wherever possible. If not possible : evade and come again tomorrow.


Currently the base called Tinkers Haven is the only base of operations for T&T/ , and it´s affiliated Junker workforce. But rumour has it that the Haven Memorial Clinic is planning to expand to planetside. And with the influx of refugees from Leeds, current rehab programs and the ever expanding workforce at the debris clouds the Investors are only too happy to seek new oportunities.

Since early AS 822 the Tinkers trade fleet have become a common sight on Liberty´s lanes and beyond, and the cooperation has opened several diplomatic channels : To the gallic Council, to IMG and to the Crayter Republic. More and more not only the economic focus has shifted away from sole scrap trade to a flourishing free trade network but also the code of conduct the fleets skippers follow has shaped and defined the cooperations diplomacy.

It is a rare sights nowadays to see a Tinker fly to Omikron Alpha or Gamma, but they do regularily supply the Councils efforts at Champagne with salvaged spare parts or shiploads of fresh Nanocapacitors. And rumors about a cooperation with the [TAZ] zoners in Baffin are common too. While T&T/ remains somewhat shady in its ability and experience in flying wartime blokade runs through the gallic Royalist lines and its open alleigance with several Junker or Freelancer factions at the same time the coop seems determined to keep away from open criminality and does not allow Cardamine trade, Artefact smuggle or Blak Market Munitions transport.


Timeline


821 AS / 05 :
  • the first base called Tinkers Haven is constructed in system Hudson, near Cold Bay Depot.
    After only 24 hours the building site is razed and totally demolished through Liberty Forces due to licence ligitation.
    200 crewmen are lost, and the *Cold Bay Massacre* is part of T&T´s memory, a tale told to every newcomer.

821 AS / 06 :
  • first meeting between the middle class Investors and Mr. Tukker.
    Mr. McKannon suggests FynnMcScrap as a connection to Junker workcrews :
    first planning stage for a new joint venture.

821 AS / 07 :
  • with Licencing granted through Liberty Forces the construction of Tinkers Haven is restarted.
    New Location : Texas, 18k from Planet Houston.

821 AS / 08 :
  • Tinkers Haven reaches Core 2 , scrap rig is fully operational.
    Construction of the Haven Memorial Clinic is started.
  • Contact with Doc Holliday from [MFE] Med Force Enterprizes ( formerly : TAZ Member ) is sought to find a first class Doctor as Chief Resident of the Memorial orbital Clinic.
  • Doc Doreen Nagger arrives and is appointed to the task.

821 AS / 09 :
  • [SRO] Sirius Relief Org. is founded and rents office and storage space at the Haven.
    Mr. Walker and his partner arrive and are welcomed to the Haven and the Board of Trustees.

821 AS / 10 :
  • The Haven reaches Core 3
  • The Clinic is fully operational. As a public relations effort the [SRO] and T&T pilots organize a refugee relief run to Leeds.
  • The \V/ - Vigilantes rent a housing module and storage space for their own needs after a working relationship has been established during the Leeds runs. ( EDIT : \V/ disbanded / info left for nostalgy )

822 AS / 1
  • The Haven reaches Core 4, all operations are at full capacity.
  • The Galena Park Project is started to supply more available space for rehabilitation facilities and living space at Houston / Texas
  • [SRO] fusions with Tinker&Transport, taking the T&T/ <shipname> [SRO] transponder.

I just want to congratulate on persitence. I remember destroying your outpost in Hudson, but at the same time I hope it gave you more stuborness to achieve what you did. Interactions are good, activity is good, I like the fact you give life to Kusari instead of just going to Alpha and bringing Cardamine back.

Well : It taught me to research and to be careful.
Im still angry about it at times, but as you see :

I use everything in RP that I can get, and the Cold Bay Massacre is blood on Liberty´s Hands,
so I use it to stay *just* on the quasi - side of lawfull.

Oh : And it taught me to be carefull not to rage or ragequit.
