Nagano System, why not Fukushima? - Fluffyball - 09-18-2014

We all know that Kusari is based on Japan. However, I found out a small faux pas here. According to the tradition of naming systems after regions and planet/bases after cities/landmarks... We have Nagano. But looking at Nagano however, Nagano, irl, is part of Honshu island. And Tomioka (real world counterpart of Planet Tomioka) is part of Fukushima (named after Fukushima family, e.g. Masanori Fukushima).

So, why Tomioka is in Nagano System, but not in Fukushima System?

Trivia: There is Tomioka Castle on Kyushu, I wonder if that Planet Tomioka is said to be identical to Kyushu was made by pure accident. Smile

If we were to list all errors made with naming, we would have to rename half the places in Discovery.
No point.

I thought when I climb into the cockpit i'm in Sirius System and not on Earth.
I know what you talking about but this is Freelancer. A fantastic game in a world far away from earth. And i am happy about that fact.

*Just say*
