To get into AFC you will need to pass three stages that helps to develop your character, get a feel for the faction, and show your dedication.
After completing these three steps you will know for sure if the faction is right for you.

Step 1 - OPTIONAL
The Hang-Around
Disclaimer: Use this step if you want to join the faction by having your character meet the faction and gradually getting in. This 'pre-step' is not standard but for people that want to have a higher than average immersion experience.
A Hang-Around is someone who is seen being around the club members and 'hanging out' with them. To be considered a Hang-Around, there needs to be some sort of interaction between you and an existing AFC member. Here are several scenarios where one would be, over time, considered a Hang-Around:

The Party-Man
The Racer
The Old Lady
Prospects are seen flying around with AFC members in space and trying to show their usefulness through their actions. They usually would do some small jobs here and there for the club or just hang out with the club members and show their usefulness. The aim here is to get the AFC member's attention that they want to join and show that they can contribute to the group.
The Party-Man
In the clubs and bars owned by the AFC there can be people who stand out, chilling with AFC members while drinking or smoking joints etc. Players who choose this path would mostly be role-playing in The Black Cherry with AFC members and forming their characters there. They would in their actions make it clear that they wish to join in on the fun with The Club.
The Racer
AFC hosts events that most of the time allow for people outside of the club to attend. In events like these it is the perfect place for someone to show off their skills in space. Indy racers that make a name for themselves are very likely to be easily noticed by club members and offered a membership (sometimes even skipping the required mission and Arrow building). It is noted that these racers would not be required to then build their own Arrow as they would have their racing ship that they had displayed their skill in.
The Old Lady
An old lady in AFC slag is considered a wife or long-term girlfriend of a club member. It doesn't have anything to do with age and it isn't derogatory. An ol'lady can be noticed in the midst of club members by her patches on her jacket that she would wear saying "Property of ___" . This again isn't derogatory but rather your relationship status with a club member. You wouldn't want another club member to think you are just another girl around the bars to give a little tip to, no?
Over time, this person can show their usefulness and become an integrated member into The Club.

The Exotic Entertainer
An exotic entertainer works in the Black Cherry or other AFC bar/nightclub establishments.Click Here for more information. While most entertainers wouldn't be considered to enter into the AFC rankings, there may be the rare chance that one may show more promise than others. These individuals have the challenge to show their potential to The Club.
These are not the only scenarios and if one would like to he/she can think of their own or mix more than one scenario together as long as it matches the criteria. Use your creativity to develop a character.
Step 2
The Virgin
People who wish to become a member of AFC are to apply to become a Virgin. A Virgin is a status in the club that is the testing ground for the Hang-Around to see if he/she has what it takes to become a member. A Virgin will not only be subject to perform the specialized mission assigned by the President but is also expected to perform any tasks a club member tells him/her to do while in this status. Show your dedication and you will go far.
A individual will need to submit an application. He/She will then take be given one of 3 ships: an Arrow, a Camara, or a Kingfisher, and will be required to tag their ships with a [V] at the end. The Virgin will not yet be given an AFC ID but will be required to fly with a Freelancer ID. They will also be required to start from scratch now and earn enough cash to pimp an arrow with AU8 armor and a Cheetah Thruster. In addition, they will need to complete the Presidential Mission assigned to them that relate to their application.
The objective is for the Virgin to discover how to make credits in The Club. They can do so through many different methods, including escorting, trading/smuggling, dealing, racing, etc...

Step 3
Acceptance
The final part in completing Virgin Status and transitioning into an accepted AFC 'Rookie' member is the final application. This application asks for the bio of the character that has been developing as well as a summary of what you have been doing. The application focuses on writing skill in submitting a report and as well looking for creativity. We are looking for a good understanding through the applicant's RP that shows what AFC. In addition, the applicant will need to choose what chapter to join.
Prior to the application, the Virgin is expected to have read through the "AFC Codex" and the "About Us" sections.
Once accepted, congratulations! You are now an Archangels member! The party has just begun!
You will get then the Tag, Chapter, and AFC ID as a symbol of the full-colors of the Archangels jacket.
This is a faction focused on Role-play first. You do not have to be a good pvp-er to go far. Character, knowledge and execution of the lore are vital.
This is a Closed Economy Faction meaning one cannot take money from outside if the faction into it. Players start from scratch and move up.

Get you jacket and your arrow. No armor. Here is what you gotta do. We got some stabaline out in the back. You know what that stuff is? Its the counter drug to cardamine. Outcasts absolutely LOVE the stuff. I just want you to send a little present to 'em. Take the goods and go to Planet Malta and eject the stuff one at a time to make a little heart shape.
Take pictures too. Yeah those are important. Slap them on in this section here and you'll show us just how much you mean it that yeah don't wana be involved with them. Think you can handle it? Confused? Don't worry. You'll figure it out soon enough.

Im going to have to say right now just to clear things up.
I have been a little bit easy with the last few submissions in this thread. The last one was actually hard to take in but because I talked to the fellow before-hand and because he was new I let it pass.
Yeah not doing that same thing again. Sorry.
The trial time used to be 8 hours long with no armor on an Arrow. Its now 2. The least you can do is write a good submission so my job would be a lot easier to know you actually want to contribute positively to the faction.

Lost and alone without any purpose in life, Bryce was drifting around Sirius for a decade doing the odd escort, sentry and stakeout jobs as well as the occasional race and spending all his earnings getting drunk and high. When he was out of credits he would get into fights instead as a means to add some excitement to his otherwise empty life. It was around this time he heard about Funny Sunny and his gang in Coronado. They had a rumour of being hard as nails and uncompromising in their disrespect of outside authority. They offered the prospect of brotherhood for a man like Bryce, they where what he had been looking for his whole life without knowing it.
On an early November morning he plotted in the coordinates for Coronado in his Arrow's navcomputer and set off, eager to meet this Funny Sunny and the rest of the Archangels.
Why you want to join: I want to learn how to pilot a LF efficiently, and I would like to fly around with like-minded relaxed individuals just looking for a good time.

Do you know how to do a barrel roll? I'm alright in a VHF, nothing spectacular. I'm a bit slow on the reflexes and tend to favor heavier and more forgiving ships like Sabre because I do slip up a lot - in other words I have my work cut out for me in light fighters and I like that challenge.
Anything more that will make you a more valuable member to the club? I know my way around most groups in Sirius fairly well.

Now to state again, the last few posts I past since I have talked to these people before hand and knew they were all good RPers.... except for the last case that I just let though because of me talking to him. Since that apparently doesn't work in the long-run though and that let-go kinda brought in a little drama inside I am forced to put my foot down.
Also cuz I wana get this faction official. Better start acting like one.
I'm not judging anyone's RP over all but my job is to judge if the person CAN RP and if he READ THE LORE enough to UNDERSTAND and MAKE an appropriate character.

I am also gonna add one more requirement now:
Unless you are busy in real life, be sure to complete your assignment relatively soon. If you don't even touch your Arrow for trial phase for 2 weeks and are playing other things then I will take it that you are not interested in the faction and you will be out of the registration process. Only upon completing your assignment and doing your 2 hours will you be allowed to get the {AFC}- tag. Up till them the naming convention will be :
NAME[V]
V for virgin.
Yeah take it in.
This becomes active as of NOW.
That is all.
TL;DR: Show me you are good in RP and want to play this faction by doing the recruiting time correctly or you don't get accepted. Simple
EDIT: lets add one more thing since we are talking about RP. When you apply you will also be taken into a inRP interview room for a little chat in RP. Nothing to worry about if you can actually RP your character well. Plus this will help develop a little your character. For yourself.
