The Rheinland Battlecruiser

The Infocard Text:

With the Libertonian Front grinding to a halt, the Republic of Rheinland turned to the other side of the House. The Corsair and Hessian Incursions into the Southern Borders of Rheinland called for further Military action, though in the Asteroid riddled systems of the Omegas, Rheinlands massive Battleships were almost incapacitated. The need arose for a ship which was armored well enough to take hits yet be agile enough to evade asteroids and enemies. In 821 A.S., the Rheinwehr put in orders for the development of a new vessel for its line of ships. The "Rhein"-Class Battlecruiser was developed especially for this task. It's armor plating allows it to take a hit from hostile vessels, while its maneuvarability assists it in quickly relocating to new positions in the fight. The Rhein-Class is the new weapon on the field to turn tides for Rheinland

Our Concept?

We wanted something that packed a bit more punch and armor than the cruiser, at the cost of a bit of mobility, while still smaller than the Turtle and thus more suitable for combat in the asteroid fields of the Omegas. For design we wanted to incorporate and keep true to past Rheinland capital ship designs, and incorporated them into one. As such, the "Rhein"-Class Rheinland Cattlebruiser is born.

Looks great. I'm not much of a cap pilot - though that may be changing ((:::
But that looks fantastic, perfectly fits the Rheinland style. Really hope it makes it into the next update.

Edit: It's a shame you can't tilt the preview model in all directions, though.

I'd say that the RM shipline is actually fairly well balanced and complete as is, but cool model though.

RE: [Submission] Rheinland Battlecruiser - An'shur - 11-21-2014

Rheinland is going to have two-missile battlecruisers (basic+Rheinland) Personally, I would make one with those two missiles, mortar, three or even 4 pulses. Would be great anti-basehugger weapon. I love the model too.

~RMBC for the next update!
