Messieurs et dames

Recently, it seems we all work very hard to maintain our established domiciles in Puerto Rico. However, only congressional members have access to the inventory demands of those stations, and storage space is limited. I put forth for discussion, a new establishment, a central storage center. It's purpose is simple. A place for all Junkers to deliver necessary commodities for our needs here in Puerto Rico. The plan is simple, we offer good prices for the things we need and our friends and family will deliver.

I know this can work. I have seen it work. I've spent many hours flying the lanes around Bretonia, and I've seen many different people bringing supplies to our station in Inverness. And for good reason, the administration of that station understands that people want to get paid for their work, not just the supplies they bring. Certainly Puerto Rico has the resources to do the same.

I don't believe that administration access should be handed over to more people. That could be disastrous to our ongoing projects. That is why I am bringing this idea forward. A large storage facility for the current administrators to draw from as needed.

In addition, MOX prices on Vieques have hindered our opertations as well. This is due to its outdated storage facilities and its remoteness from any MOX production facilities. Should we make the storage capacity on this new structure large enough, we can begin purchasing MOX out of Bretonia or Rheinland and transporting it back to Puerto Rico with minimal cost to us.

Finally, I feel this should be a group discussion, which is why I bring it before you all. Please, let us debate this idea, discuss its implications, its positives and negatives. However, the sooner we implement, the sooner we benefit.

Silence? Is that truly what this Congress has become? Some of you have talked to me in private, and so far there has been nothing but positive feedback from those conversations. Admittedly, those members of this Congress are not as outspoken as some of us, and while they have every intention to make this Congress better, they don’t feel it is their place to offer direction.

I, however, am no shrinking violet. I have motivations and I have plans. To my credit, I do not believe that I am conceited enough to think they are the best motivations, or the most well-conceived plans. Well, perhaps I am. I want this Congress to stand and fight against our enemies. But that fight should be on our terms, not theirs. It should be fought with the weapons of our choosing, not theirs. If we succeed on those two points, it’ll be their blood that is spilled. Not ours.

This is not a call for new leadership, no. This is a plea for action from the rest of you. If you don’t like the path the Arbiter and his deputies have laid before us, discuss it. Do not follow it blindly, or turn a blind eye to it. If you disagree, voice it. If you think you have an idea worth its weight in scrap, it should be heard, echoing within this chamber. For good ideas and true innovation, you need human interaction, conflict, argument, debate.

We are Junkers. No one knows the history of this galaxy more than us, because every piece of scrap we collect reveals just a little bit more of what happened in the past. We are Junkers. We have endured, and we will continue to endure the test of time. We are Junkers. Dealing as we do in waste and salvage, we know not to judge a ship by its appearance the same way we don’t judge others by their habits. We understand everything in this universe has its place in it, even if we may not like it.

With no opposition, I plan on moving forward with my storage center. Puerta de Tierra, will stand high above Bosque, visible from all corners of Puerto Rico, because nothing kills an idea faster than, out of sight, out of mind.
