I don't know what would I use a JD, a cloak, a bay or that fourth thing for. I'm against BSs jumping in the middle of the fight and it is also expensive, I don't need to cloak, bays aren't really useful except if they get 10 times cheaper, and I don't even know what the fourth thing is.

exemple if a bs need to be transported faster than by tradelane (dublin to magellan)with a bomber or in fighter in with the docking bay only 5 cargo

JD2 takes 1 minute charge before jumping, JD3 takes 30 secs to charge before jumping.
Quite simply if you are in battle and have a JD2 and you try to charge it, you will be dead before you are able to escape. So in effect JD2 is useless unless you are using to jump in non-combat situations.

Battleship fights can last for dozens of minutes, if the opponents don't just charge into each other and hope for the best.
I have seen JDs being used by battleships which were just about to die, but then they returned with full hull and regens after they had jumped. It makes some BSs nearly invincible, no matter how skilled the player is.

thunderer, if i follow you, the bs must be charged with fuel, you engage the JD, you fight and disappear, right?
cookie the jd2 is a little bit less expensive than the 3, you can adapted it on battlecruiser, but you are right it is not for escape or maybe if you are cau8 equiped!
i must try again it, to see if the new commodities are better
