disapearing Savefiles singleplayer - Jimboo - 04-29-2015

For some reason your stored savefiles in "mygames/discovery" are erased after having played singleplayer not using the launcher but instead using the aplication in "computer/games/Discovery/EXE folder/discovery.exe"

Who and why are erasing my personal non internetbased savefiles?

I use this as trial and error for multiplayer to be able to play better on RP24/7server.

Is it even legal to erase files on another persons computer?

Best regards, Flashpoint. (ingame name)

Well. Sometimes, old savefiles can break disco mod on starting freelancer, so the new launcher deletes all saves. You have to back them up if you want to play the SP campaign too...

I found out that copys of non internetbased savefiles are suddenly stored in

C:\Users\(computername)\Documents\My Games\Freelancer\Accts\SinglePlayer

these savefiles that are in there can then be copied to the discovery singleplayer save file that looks like this-->

C:\Users\(computername)\Documents\My Games\Discovery

Doing this will make discovery singleplayer possible to play with your savefiles.

I am using this aplication in the discoveryfolder to play singleplayer to better understand and learn the Multiplayer experience, a sort of trial and error.
C:\Games\Discovery Freelancer 4.88.1\EXE\Freelancer.exe

So i dont accidently smash your rear in full transport throttle with an cruiser or so.... hate trafic jams!

Sorry for being stupid but... what exactly you mean with "backup" ? Im asking cause i often used the single player for testing new equipment, tactics etc.
