My business needs a very simple site, don't really care about ads. It needs to, at minimum, have one page for contact purposes. Any suggestions for free-ish sites or such? I have no experience in this.

Get a free, no-ads hosting like http://www.hostinger.com/, install wordpress, tweak a bit, go.
It's not perfect but it's also not something you need to spend more than 2 afternoons on.
Also if you want google hits you might want to invest in a domain. I believe ovh.com are pretty cheap in that regard.

You can also give wordpress.org a try. That way you can click everything out without paying dime.
