PLANET NEW LONDON - Earlier today, Borderworld Exports (Bowex) released their first financial projections for the freshly constructed Canary Wharf Station in New London. The station was recently deployed in Planet New London's orbit, purportedly to serve as a cargo transit point and storage facility. It has since been revealed that Bowex intends to extend the facility further in order to relocate many of their terrestrial executive offices.

The nine page projections report was published by Ryan Manning - Canary Wharf's logistics manager - on Bowex's neural net site, and details a number of expected trends. Specifically, it is noted that since the facility's official opening footfall has increased steadily and is expected to continue to rise steeply over the coming months. It is also thought that revenue will continue to rise correspondingly, driven by public sales of unrefined Gold and Beryllium ores. The BBC contacted Mr Manning for comment on the report and what it meant for Canary Wharf's future.

"Largely, we're extremely happy with how the opening has proceeded. Given the station's location and the high levels of traffic naturally proceeding through the area, we always knew the station was going to be a popular hit with the long-range haulage market. The reaction from our partners abroad has been fantastic, and we're hoping to have several high priority and mutually beneficial contracts set up shortly. When our projections inevitably prove to be accurate, we will naturally be looking to expand further and hire on additional staff."

Despite Bowex's optimistic calculations, it is estimated that it will be years before the facility recoups its own costs and turns an active profit due to the steep cost of deployment. Andrew Heeley of the Federalist affiliated interest group Responsibility has already decried the facility as a "waste of resources", and "[Bowex] placing their own image and prestige ahead of the nation's actual needs." We are led to believe an official complaint was also filed with the New London Orbital Transit Authority, citing Bowex's own report as evidence of congestion caused by the station. As of this time, the Transit Authority have declined to comment.
