Background Information:

The ship was recovered from the Toledo Graveyard along with another Resheph class for use in the nascent 'Tombstone' class development project.

Both vessels were repaired and refit with various new technologies, some shared and some differing. The initial 'Tombstone' prototype was stripped and returned to the Graveyard when the Tombstone II was built to continue the program, while the second vessel given the name 'Astarte' was kept and was continued to be modified and operated as a side project.

Project Information:
Project Astarte shares some basic improvements with the Tombstone, but the majority of modules are different versions that were not included in the main Tombstone project.

The Astarte retains a human crew for operation in contrast with the mostly automated Tombstone, but has the capability to have an AI, and lacks the highly advanced sensor systems of it's 'sister'. Currently, the Astarte is the subject of a test project on the viability and potential of massed Long Range Missile Launcher (LRML) Batteries as a counter to hostile snubcraft.
