Colonial Dreadnought - my try to model smth :D - KUBANA - 08-12-2015

Greetings

It might not be top class modeling Big Grin It is one of my first attempts to model something. was working on it for a while but abandoned the project long ago. It is not finished, it was supposed to have front firing gun on its front, protruding from hull. I was about to model engines, one big to the center of its behind, and two lesser ones being placed underneath the wings. And then some fancy stuff.

What do you say Smile

I like it very much. Nice job! How much it took you to make it?

That's actually not bad. I'd say the only issue is that the underside is too flat. Add some more roundness and form to that part of the model and you might have something quite excellent.

Nice, but atm It kinda looks like a luxury yacht tbh, but good job!

Well I was modeling it for a couple of days intense. Was working with couple of former =CR= members on skype who were giving me some ideas what to change and so on and was kinda inspired by an old sketch I found on internet but changed stuff according to my and =CR= ideas.

Yeah the underside is definitely unfinished and was about to work on it by placing some stuff there, maybe second smaller bridge dedicated to front gun aiming and so on so yeah.

The concept was to make a small, fast dreadnought with front gun, which was supposed to be a RAILGUN with huge hull damage and virtually no shield damage, with small thin frame to be able to make querilla ops against Gallia in asteroid belts.

The railgun was supposed to look somehow like this: http://p3d.in/EfV8Z without that long box behind it and I was thinking about a way how to insert it to the hull to fit in and look good Big Grin

Good job KUBANA Smile Take that model to the end, and report it to include the game. Colonial Republick ship line is (for my taste) poor. Useful for something new. Additionall, some units are very agile, and some vice versa...

Good job.

So, this is the moment when people are starting to do their stuff, and I can't cope with my own project. :x
