A Random Encounter at Freeport 10 (//Siren Stone and Order| only) - Siren Stone - 11-15-2015

Freeport 10, an out of the way station floating in a vast ice cloud, a haven for every sort of person, able to hide away un noticed and keep to themselves. This is why one such person chose it as her safe harbor after an attempt to join the BDM, Rheinlands security force, much the same as the one she was once meant to serve.

Stepping into the bar after a nights rest, The woman, dressed in her usual flight suit, a burnt orange cloak across her left shoulder and gun strapped to her hip, winces at the bright light coming through the windows from the vacuum outside.

"Why is it always so bright?" She asks herself, moving to the weapons' locker, depositing her pistol inside before taking the key chip from the lock. Moving up to the bar, she places her usual order of two eggs, toast and a cup of coffee before moving over to a booth in the corner under a half working light, its dim glow giving her a better view of the rest of the room while keeping her relatively well hidden.

The peace and quiet would not last long as she would expect it to be. Halfway through her breakfast, she could note that she is being observed. Before being able to react in non suspicious way, a person approached her in non-hostile manner. Uniform resembling something of Outcast origin yet considerably different military outfit. Red-haired woman as she could see, left her usual company who then dismissed out of the bar to leave them alone.

“May I? It would be in interest of us both to talk.”

Looking up from her meal, The woman gives this new person a close look, the uniform making her.... uncomfortable.

"And what subject would there be that is of interest to me?" She asks, glancing at the group that left the bar after the woman stood up from her table. At the same time, she sets the fork she was holding on the table, setting her right wrist gently on the edge of the table.

“Your allegiance.” She said. Two insignia were visible on her flight jacket: One for the Reapers of Sirius and the other showed as The Order. Taking a seat in front of her, unarmed and setting her hands on the table, she gave the woman a kind smile, her face betraying nothing of her true intentions.

“You go by name Siren, likely the only name you have at the moment. You have thrown your fate with Liberty Rogues, time when I first heard about you. Of course, you are not just a mere pirate and outlaw you used to pose as. I can offer you work and place you can call home, through naturally I do not expect you to accept outright. You may call me Valkyrie for the time being.”

Giving the woman a cold stare, Siren doesn't know what to make of the woman sitting in front of her. The Order insignia on her Jacket was interesting, the way she spoke of Sirens past gave her chills, yet she knew better. It could be a trap. This wouldn't be the first time the LSF had tried to trick her into willingly coming back to them in one form or another, she had to be cautious, and was not up for killing someone this month.

"You speak of me as if you know more than you've let on... much more. If you know as much as I think you do, then you should also know how often my past has attempted to make contact with me, as well as the fates it always meets. So tell me, Valkyrie, how long have you been watching me? Do not lie, either, because if I find out..." She simply flexes her wrist, gauging the woman's reaction to see just how much she truly knew.

Valkyrie's eyes narrowed, being aware her possible recruit is about to behave like cornered animal ready to strike. She sighed and after a pause, spoke again.

“We first took note of you during your stay with Liberty Rogue warlords. It should not come as surprise, your former compatriots lack on discretion as far Liberty underground goes. You may not realize but now you are a unaffiliated specialist and 'we' would hate if Houses got to you first. Especially how they tend to treat heavily augmented individuals.”

Remaining silent for a few moments, Siren eventually relaxes, though not to the point of carelessness. Leaning back into the booth , she crosses her arms, glancing around the room to see if anyone was paying them any attention. Once satisfied that they were not being watched, she gives Valkyrie a smirk.

"Am I to assume you aren't approaching me of your own volition? That an order was handed down to you from higher in the command chain to speak with me? Someone with my history wouldn't be taken as lightly as say, a freelancer in the right place at the right time." She takes her coffee cup from the table, sipping from it for a moment before holding it close to her chest. Who is this woman sitting in front of her, Siren was at the very least curious, if not highly suspicious, yet something about the way she spoke and acted, the calm in her voice yet matter of fact way she spoke was most definitely not LSF.

Valkyrie retains her professional approach so far, unfit for anyone but some sort of operative considering her vast knowledge about Siren. She observed her potential recruit carefully for any sudden moves.

“Freelancer... no. We have our own chain of command to adhere to. Should you prove to be promising, you may even meet our supreme commanding officer in person. How does living in the only truly civilized and orderly place in Omicrons sound for you?”

Just a mention of yet unnamed but likely distant Omicron stars brought some warmth to Valkyrie's face, recalling mentioned place very fondly as she offered her unknown home to Siren as well.

A brief moment of interest sparked in Sirens eyes, a slight smile betraying her cold attitude. If there were such a place in the Omicrons, a civilized home she could make her own, Siren couldn't afford to pass up the chance, no matter what it would cost her. If such a place truly existed, then it would be the safest place for her, as given her knowledge of the LSF, they wouldn't know of it.

"You're telling me such a place exists? A place I wouldn't have to steal to get what I need, barter my life for a few scraps of food, or hold a gun to someone's head to simply breath?" She looks around for a moment before leaning forwards, willing to risk her next question, what did she have to lose. Quietly, in a whisper, she asks her question. "Are you telling me The Order can offer me this?"

Leaning back in her chair, her face became more serious almost immediately to address her inquires, specifically keeping her voice down when The Order is concerned. Enemies could be found aplenty even in safety of Freeports.

“The Order offers you work among our ranks and remote shelter, far away from your pursuers. Of course, we do not lack enemies that seek to ruin the little peace we carved in the Omicron sector.”

She put small datapad on the table, pushed it across the surface and turned it around towards Siren. It contained information how to contact her in safe manner should she decide to pursue this opportunity laid out ahead of her, accept Valkyrie's offer and join ranks of The Order.

“We will be watching but ultimately decision is yours. I presume you will need time to think it over...”
