Kelsey Norton - The Malarkey of the Goddess - Exodus - 11-20-2015
Vol. I - The Memoire of the Priestess -
It was Reynard, the chosen derelict of the Goddess who entered the realm of the all-non existent spirits. It was a cheap miracle he survived, while the other visitors of the forsaken place died. If facing some droll looking spirits wouldn't be enough, which were closer to a pleasing device or an actual flying flask, than a living organism, the guardians of this bloody cult were also watching trespassers with huge cannons, fountains loaded up with the source of the after-life. Kelsey served this crazy man, day by day, risking her own life.
Her first days on the Leonardo, the mighty vessel, carrying the discordian popes was a great memory. She have heard about the crazy folks of the edge worlds before, but meeting them, watching them from a safe distance still gave goosebumps on her back. An old folk, giving seeds as a gift, talking about Mao's buttons with a brutal accent. Then a guy, who cannot focus well, and couldn't aim in the toilet probably. She laughed. Meeting two strange woman, a guy with the name of the messenger of the sea. Strange times indeed. The doctor and the old professor were the rejuvenating essence for Kelsey's sore eyes. And finally the reporter arrived as well. At the first sight he seemed to be normal, but that was her biggest mistake.
Serving them, looking out for their wishes were not Kelsey's best days in the universe, but she had a decent quarter and a less deranged captain. She was holding unto her common sense and judgment, but within a month or so, even her "trained" brain started to decay. Leaving in the presence of the goddess, in the presence of the popehood. Baffin seemed to be a whole different place in Sirius, with it's unique landscape and atmosphere.
Kelsey's life was shaped by the followers of Eris. Day by day, she felt more uncomfortable in her quarters, or on duty, cleaning the dishes at the kitchen. She had a different vision, a different goal which were off the grid with the popes appearing in his close vicinity. Standing on Shasta Orbital Skyhook's deck was a major change. Being the appointed Goldentounge, even greater. She begun with cleaning the dishes, wiping the floor and cleaning the quarters and ended up being a bit sane, just a bit, and helping the once unknown, crazy people's daily life.
The disappearance of Reynard was quite a shock, leaving all his belongings behind, with Kelsey being the last person to get the goods of the pope. She wasn't prepared to handle a few ships, to give orders and follow the daily actions around her. Eris plans were not the ones she wanted, but the ones she deserved. Being humble, loyal to her captain and a great asset in the crew of the Leonardo and Mendacium, Kelsey earned the right to take a grab in the partybus of the crazy goddess.

Her full name is Kelsey Norton, using the nickname Kel, born in 795 A.S. on Mull Base, Newcastle. Her family moved there 23 years before her birth as the first settlers of the newly built asteroid station. She was raised in a society not very pleasant, and being a girl that didn't helped much either. She had a corpulent body, so her childhood was full of bullying and self esteem disorders.

Years later, not surprisingly, she took her chance and during a raid on a trade convoy staged her quasi death. With the overloaded weapon system, a specially prepared lifepod and with determination, she blew up her vessel and used the pod to hide away from the comrade's scanners. A lone rheinland miner found her near a smaller asteroid and took Kelsey to Freeport 1. Selling the used lifepod earned her a few credits, which were used to buy her 'ticket' to Gran Canaria.
Living in a small apartment, working in the local restaurant didn't really satisfy her needs. Many people visited the planet, traders, pirates, even some communists, but none of them were able to amaze the little girl. Greed, corruption, revenge, a few of the reasons why Kelsey avoided the visitors of Gran Canaria. The dazzling dream of the little girl seemed to be just an ideal, which cannot be reached, or followed in a place like Omega 49.
Kelsey Norton is a moderately tall woman, with the height of 173 centimeters. With her high heels on, she seems taller, what a miracle, but she remains a cute and silent person regardless of clothing or titles. With a feeble but solemn voice, she is just a remarkable person. Once she could afford, Kelsey used exquisite clothing, with an immaculate appearance.

A few months before the birthday of Kelsey, a Zoner colony vessel passed near Gran Canaria. It was so huge, that even through a thicker cloud layer was visible. She never saw something like that before, molly aspirants are used to fast and agile fighter or bomber ships, not to moving fortresses.
She ran out of the restaurant to ask the people what that ships is and to whom it belongs. The wandering civilians were just guessing the class or the type of the vessel, and directed Kelsey to the docking area, where the local leaders might know more about it. She did the exact same thing. The docking are was full with workers, loading cargo, fixing ship components, polishing the hull of the elder vessels.
An young traveler knew the answer to Kelsey's question and offered her his help to fly the girl next to the Nephilim. The boy wanted to get the girl and spend the night with here, therefore he offer what he could to seduce the good looking dishwasher.
Is she an easy to get girl? Definitely not. She always knows whats good for her, the way how to get it not always works well, but Kelsey is not famous for giving up on things. The only degree she has is at washing the dishes at Gran Canaria. Still, the lexical knowledge of hers is great, as in his childhood she used to read a lot of history, novels and poems. Once even tried to write a poem, which didn't went so well, but she didn't give up. Remember? She is not giving up so easily.
