Snowdown treaty - I need clarifications - Benoit - 11-24-2015

Today with my ODF| tagged ship along with 2 other [RM] ( 3 snubs ) we jumped to Omega 3 to fight two corsairs in the vicinity of the Omega 7 gate.
I heard on Skype that they were complains about it, that we were out of our ZOI.
Yet the treaty of snowdown says we can patrol near the gate sector and escorts trading ships to Rugen.
I would like to know if being there was wrong for a military snub.

You can engage enemies near the omega 7 gate in omega 3 with rm snub craft upto gb size anything bigger would require approval from bretonia

Rule-wise Omega-3 isn't RM ID ZoI, I told you that already on skype Ben.

Wrong subforum, mods!...

Technically it is legit, if Corsairs attack first (you can defend with every ID outside ZOI). We all know Greedo Han Solo shot first.

Then this needs to be off the Sirius news and commerce channel.
Link to the treaty
I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one thinking that I could safely travel to Omega-3 near the gate sector. I also suggest an announcment in the front page, as this is an obvious ingredient for futur drama.
To the corsair we attacked, sorry for that. You understand the confusion here I guess.
To the admins, if sanctions there is, I ask you to be sanctionned alone as I was the one leading those new players over there.

This is same problem like with Kusari-Rheinland treaty which allows each other to patrol Honshu/Frankfurt inRP, but this was not added to respective IDs, so attacking first would be ID violation.

No, he did not.

Indeed Laura. Same goes for this treaty between Kusari and Rheinland. We need clarifications to see if we can enter the Honshu system or not.

RE: Snowdown treaty - I need clarifications - Laura C. - 11-24-2015

You can, you just can´t open fire first (or even assist Kusari law enforcers), you have to wait until you are attacked (it is stupid but it is same scenario like when pirates and local unlawfuls meet lawfuls in house space and pirates can´t attack them until they are engaged).

This is one of the few rare situation when official faction perk can be actually used to enlarge ZOI. I suggested it several times but it seems [RM] didn´t go for it. But indies won´t be able to use this anyway.

RE: Snowdown treaty - I need clarifications - Benoit - 11-24-2015

Yes, we engaged first indeed, as we thought we could do so. Hence my confusion about it. Hence the HUGE NEED to clarify this once it for all. Spazzy, sorry for that and for the loss of your friends\'s cruiser turret as said in Conn later. I will accept any sanction related to this incident
