The Knights Errant (new Faction) - Wolflordorion - 05-08-2016

History: Taking example from the knights of old, the knights errant beleaved that chivilery honor and the persuit for justice where the most important tenents to live by. During a crusade against a large invading force of nomads many years ago upon a unknown planet in a sector long erased from the annals of history here they managed to stop the incoming nomad invasion while the ground forces where at a stalemate the battle in space was in the knights favor untill the nomads unleashed a new weapon one they where testing in the invasion they made the nearby stars supernova wiping the system off the map so the bretonian government wiped the records of the battle ,weapon and knights away for what they thought was good and thus The Knights Errant turned into folk tales.

The new Knights : 100's of years later the knights slowly and secretly started re forming and rebuilding their order whith a few battleships and one singular base and only a handfull of Knights the Grandmaster strives for the old ideals and the rebuilding of the once great knights

Location: hidden deep in the Torfaen Asteroid Field Bretonia ready to announce their pressense to the world

Ships :Bretonian Ships (fighters gunships and battleships )

Ranks : Grand master
Master
Sentinel
Justicar
Paladin
Knight
Squire
Recruit

Relations: All lawfull Factins will know of the tales of the Knights of errant and will ally themselves with them
and the Knights ally with them to protect the lawfull people and persue justice Police have a problem with
them in the fact that due to the agreements any Knight or higher can act as a Officer and dish out there
own justice ( even if it is killing instead of aprehending a criminal )

all unlawfull faction are at war with them

I have a few questions:
1) Do you plan to use cruisers or bombers, cause you name only fighters, gunboats and battleships in "ships" section?
2) Can I see links to roleplay between The Knights Errant and other lawful factions, especially the part, where they recognise superiority of TKE?
3) What's your stance with Core and Order, who're also combating Nomad Threat?

1) Basically all non civilian bretonian ships that are used for combat so bombers , ,Gunships and all cruisers
2)The links between the other factions in Rp would be eg, Bretonians would view them as Knights of justice they police and protect the Lawful people, and make sure thier Systems are safe they would be viewed as guards and protectors by the lawfull faction but at the same time (like how cops hate handing things over to the fbi) certain faction may grudingly let them take over a forced agreement you could say
3 ) while both factions are fighting the Nomads Core have murderd many inocent people in recent days so they would prefer to be seperate and never work together but if the need arised the would work with them and the order while somewhat disliked will be left to there own devices

3) in simpiler non rp terms they dislike both the core for there disregard for life and order for there shady secret way of working buy if a large scale nomad invasion happens the Knights will work with them

You didn´t write what ID and IFF you want to use and also where your zone of influence will be.

Also, I don´t think your faction concept can work in the way you described. For example this part:

Making yourself "part of history which everybody knows" is quite powergamish. You can´t declare yourself ally with somebody without having Disco lore or roleplay which will back it up. Also, if you try to enforce your own justice against valid laws and without proper mandate, you will probably quickly end outlawed yourself. You can´t "act as officer" just because you write in your faction lore that there is some agreement which allows you to do this, things does not work like that.

well that is an easy fix (as the knights are only returning and must work in conjunction with lawfull forces ) they then follow the laws of each lawfull system and have no power to over ride any system already inplace laws they can only help when asked or if an offer is accepted Ie: a officer in bertonia wants help guarding a certain point and scaning passer by or if said officer accepts the offer to help

i didnt mean to make the knights sound so forcefull so any critisism or ideas would be greatly accepted
also the IFF would be along the Line of Knight Errant- players callsign

Also would it be possible to have a new ID ie (The Knights Errant ID) or must one be chosen out of preexisting ones

It looks like you are not really familiar with things yet. I don't really want to discourage you but maybe you should gather some more experience before creating a faction. A faction is a lot of work and will be even harder when you are not quite certain how discovery works.
