Long story short:
I have a VM on my pc so that me and my wife can play online at the same time. The VM and the actual system share the same IP and mac address (hardcoded to actually work).
The question:
Will we get auto-banned by the server anti-cheat system when we go online?

Easiest certain answer is to try, we can always unban.

So, both launchers connect, but only 1 game actually works. The second game gets timed out and doesn't seem to be able to "enter world".

so you cannot log a character, or even join the server on second account?
Same problem if you log in the accounts in the other order?

The order doesn't matter (tried both ways), whichever account logs first ingame can play, the other one gets time-out.
