Speech to the Bundschuh on Geneva Base [by Friederich Heissler] - TheJarl - 09-25-2016

Kommandant Friederich Heissler
Deck 3, Section 4ψ, Geneva Base, New Hampshire System
25/09/823 AS, 2100 Station time

Genossen,

The upcoming leadership election will be about you. You who are often forgotten. Far away from the headquarters on Bruchsal or any of our other bases. You are the Bundschuh, you are revolutionaries and without your efforts we would be nowhere. The Bundschuh are more than those in Frankfurt. From the classrooms of Bielefeld, to those braving a terrible crisis in Munich and all the way to you here in New Hampshire, restoring what we lost in Dresden. Without the guns, without the ships that you recover, all the skirmishes in orbit of Holstein would be lost. You are a vital part of the movement and it is vital that your voices are heard.

It doesn’t matter what division, sect or cell you are from. I might be from the Widerstand, but I for one will not seek to enforce our authority on our friends and colleagues. The autonomy of all factions and all stations is not a weakness, it is a strength. The Widerstand is a strong paramilitary and is the best equipped for waging spaceborne warfare, but the Bundschuh are so much more than that. Extracting refugees, espionage, salvage operations, sabotage, there are groups specialised in each of these tasks. A wise man once: “In the matter of boots, I refer to the authority of the bootmaker; concerning houses, canals, or railroads, I consult that of the architect or the engineer.” We have to work together as equals and make full use of our diversity and various abilities.

Genossin Eistochter had shown us how effective this approach can be. Could we ever have dealt with the Nuremberg refugee crisis without the sects on Munich and making full use of Eltmann Moor? I doubt it. We must stand together, side by side, if we are to overturn this rotten system that for so long has plagued our House.

If I get elected as party leader I will do everything in my ability to, on the one hand, improve interfactional cooperation, while on the other hand also fully protect the autonomy of all groups and station administrations. Furthermore I will distribute more resources to stations like this to improve both living conditions and productivity. Genossen, let us together fight for a bright future.

Long live the Revolution!
Long live the Rheinland!
Long live the Bundschuh!
