Quote:2.) Finalization & Export Prep - we have 8 models currently that need various things fixed (smooth groups, badly done UV's, excessive groups & geometry) before we can put them into the game. If at least two people step in, it can all be finished within a week;
3.) Hitboxing - this is a relatively easy job, but it still demands attention and time, so help is appreciated!
4.) Hardpointing - also an easy job, just very very time consuming if done correctly. You don't have to have ANY modeling experience to do this!

I wouldn't mind helping out with these with some training.

I am not intended to leave things just now. I definitely enjoy modelling and would like to keep doing it. Yes, I will be saying times to times I am full of it and want to give up, but as we know no one leaves Disco forever, and not only gameplay-wise.
My strategy is to dedicate an hour a day to a different models to make development consistent and long-term running.
It is not hard to spend an hour a day for me even if I am not around.

One major note, though, we modellers highly value the input on our work. Support us and we will do stuff.

Thanks Swallow for posting again, this thread never crossed my sight.
I'm willing to help - if possible - in any way I can.
Sadly, though. I have never modeled anything, or done anything in programs like blender or the likes. But I'd love to try it out. Who knows, it might just be my new Frustration outlet and get some stuff going.

Well, I have a few FL ships laying around too. They differ in polycount, model and texture quality, some of the are old, some 1 + years old. Maybe they are too random for Disco, maybe some could be used here. It's been a while I did a FL ship due to various personal life reasons, but 3D modeling is a hobby to me, and I am willing to contribute if asked.
