Pressing shift - Corile - 01-24-2017

This is a pretty strange thing I'm having issues with.

Sometimes whenever I press shift my ship just turns to the left and up. This happens everywhere, whether I'm in game, while writing a message, while alt-tabbed, whatever. I started noticing this happening yesterday. It goes away when I dock or log out.

Any ideas what the hell this is?

Only thing of similar interest i get is sometimes i cannot dock the trade lanes at all no matter what angle i'm in. it keeps turning it to the bottom left of the lane, even if i align perfectly.

That's the formation bug and is a different thing entirely.

Happens to me daily, very freaking annoying while turret steering...

Is this only in your Wine version of Freelancer? And what are your key bindings and secondary key binding? Have you restarted the PC in the meantime (keys can be hardlocked until restart)?

It happens on native Windows, I haven't seen it on Wine. Psure this has nothing to do with keybindings with how the ship behaves while this happens (considering it starts turning when I press shift even if I'm outside the freelancer window, which might I add should not happen under any circumstances).

Okay, my first thought was that you might have some kind of malware/third party tool on your windows that effs with the keybindings, but I guess you'd have that in other games as well. But in an inactive window? That's weird.
