RE: Red Deer Station: Salvage Operation 1 - sindroms - 02-11-2017

Update: Having gathered information on today's amount of cargo being delivered, I have adjusted the goal amounts of this event accordingly. Happy weekend, peeps and dust off your Kusari unlawfuls.

RE: Red Deer Station: Salvage Operation 1 - ActivistA - 02-11-2017

Hi There,

Thanks for the event, but was quiet lost trying to find the route and destination,
as occasional (newB) player was confused by outated infos:

"Salvaged Station Modules (Legal)
Battleship Concord -> Renzu Shipyards"

Using the wiki ( discoverygc.com/wiki/) located:
1-Battleship Concord > in Alberta
2-Renzu Shipyards > in Oita

a-then using the navmap (http://space.discoverygc.com/navmap/) I TRY to locate "Oita" system:
b-doing a search (cntrl+F) on the map give iof course NO result
c-entering "Oita" in the map search DO open an Oita map (http://space.discoverygc.com/navmap/#q=oita)
d-on that map there are WH but still can't find the connection to Oita
e- FINALLY I found that Renzu Shipyards in HIROSHIMA ...

So just wanted to insist once again : please when announcing an event, think about occasional or new players and be more explicit about locations (full location with system names) and such,
thanks again.

The Wiki is sadly horribly outdated. Like Tal Ravis.

RE: Red Deer Station: Salvage Operation 1 - MotokoSusu - 02-11-2017

the event page did have a map showing the routes with current map layout

RE: Red Deer Station: Salvage Operation 1 - ActivistA - 02-11-2017

Indeed and it's thanks to a second look at that map that I did check Hiroshima
but at first look just saw many colors in various directions, that's why I did check the wiki and went outdated.

That's why I still think it would be new and occasional players friendly to give full localizations descriptions

thanks again and in advance

Well tryd the smuggling route and it seems not worth it. :/
Considering that by lane other cargo will make you more credits/h.
The profit was only 5k per unit and lot of open space flyn.

As for pirating, you cant sell the cargo for any good profit (no 5k bonus) ?
So basicly pirating other stuff is more profitable.

This kind of event should attract pirates, police and smugglers !?

RE: Red Deer Station: Salvage Operation 1 - Sombs - 02-12-2017

The illegal route is actually good. 5.000 Credits per unit profit if you make to Culebra. You shouldn't just move through New York when LPI characters are around, because, you know, TLAGSNET.

The legal route is less attractive, as you don't get really something to bring back to Alberta with good profit.
