The Dauntless was constructed to assist the 5th Fleet, Liberty Navy fulfilling there duty. Juneau Shipyard is known to be the Liberty Navy's top secret installation that was built soon after an incident that occurred within Texas in 510 AS. All research and development of the Osiris-class battleships also occurred at this installation. The Osiris-class later became the Overlord-Dreadnought class which is now seen as the most sophisticated and devastating ship of it's type within the region. The Overlord-Dreadnought has not had many exterior hull changes over the several decades of being constructed. But the internal systems, feature some of Liberty's most powerful and sophisticated technology researched and designed. This facility still undergoes all of the Liberty Navy prototype construction work, research and development, even after having a heroic security breach. The Past: The past of the "Dauntless" was to fulfill the support role for the Liberty Navy. The engineering on Juneau Shipyard was astonishing. Designing this Assault Battlecruiser which was heavily armed, heavily armored, yet still was maneuverable. This was defiantly one of the best designs and and constructions the Libertorian engineers completed. Mounting a multiple heavy cruiser-class and battleship-class payloads to this slim, sleek chasis. It serves as long range artillery platform, but also a wrath of the Libertorian engineering that put fear in the hearts of their enemies. The "Interdictor"-class Assault Battlecruiser was constructed as a multi role warship. Being the most dangerous to not just pirates or smugglers, but other houses Liberty suffered large loses to. The Assault Battlecruiser was a support vessel for full scale wars between other houses. Being heavily armored, but also a fast assault battlecruiser, this ship is designed to breach through enemy formations quickly, and turning the side from a losing battle to a winning battle. Serving the Liberty Navy: The construction of this specific Assault Battlecruiser was to test the newly research and developed cloaking technology. Being one of the very first ships within the fleet with such technology, the costs where within it's billions. The ship was one of a kind and had one role. To stop the chaos within the heart of the Republic. To fend off and fight off all Rogue Scylla-destroyers that where causing disturbances. This cloaking technology gave the upper hand to the Liberty Navy commanders who had the opportunity to be onboard the ship. After months of finalizing the technology and the internal and external equipment was working at 100% with no malfunctions. This included radars, scanners, communications, shields, life support and much much more. This battlecruiser was declared as the "Dauntless". The meaning of Dauntless is fearless, determination and bravery. This Assault Battlecruiser sure put fear into the Rogues of the Republic, their destroyers would flee the scene in a moments notice. It was very unlikely for any Rogue destroyer captains to escape without having taken heavy damage from the "Dauntless". The "Dauntless"-class Assault Battlecruiser served within the Liberty Navy 5th fleet for several months under the command of Mark Webb. Mark Webb managed to move through the ranks of the 5th fleet being honored with commanding this fine vessel. The crew where put through there paces with Webb while doing there duty. The ship and crew would provide a large amount of it's attacks with the cloaking technology, some said it was a surprise attack, some would say it was clever. But all that matter was the civilian lives where no longer at risk when the presences of the Dauntless was lurking. After months on months, the Fleet Admiral vanished into the darkness, no one knew where he or the Odyssey went. A few weeks later a signal was found and the Dauntless proceeded to it's position, providing escort to Juneau Shipyard for the repairs which where necessary. Escorting the 5th Odyssey Going missing: A few months after the Odyssey was returned to Juneau Shipyard and the Admiral was cleared medically along with the rest of the crew. The crew of the Dauntless proceeded with her role and duty until something occurred. The Commanding Officer, also known as Commander Mark Webb was starting to be seen as a fugitive of the Liberty Navy after resigning from his position and stealing information and keeping access to the Dauntless. The Dauntless and crew where seen as Rogue officers of the Liberty Navy. But with a ship such as the Dauntless- Assault Battlecruiser there is not much the Liberty Navy could do because of it's capability to use the camouflage cloak which reversed mechanic's making it virtually impossible to find the Dauntless. There are many rumors of the location of the ship and the crew, even Commander Mark Webb. Some say that the Dauntless is within the Badlands, hiding while assisting the Liberty Rogues. Some say it is within the Liberty Rogue heavily guarded system of Cassini, but no one knows. The mystery is unclear, and unknown. It was and has been confirmed that Commander Mark Webb made haste for the Omicron worlds where he later joined the Order, the Dauntless and it's crew was under the command of Commander Mark Webb's second in command who was Colonel Daryl Robinson. Colonel Robinson ordered for the crew of the Dauntless to make their way into Alaska and later into Ellesmere towards the Omicron worlds where the ship and crew vanished, there has since then been no records of it's location, if the crew are dead or alive, if the ship has been destroyed. The Dauntless was stopped and the crew where killed onboard the ship by agents of Division 9 as they saw it was an easy target and a easy asset to their fleet. The Dauntless Assault-battlecruiser was a big gain to the Division 9 fleet due to the capabilities, the history and the sheer power and armaments. With the location of the ship being unknown by official Liberty Navy, Liberty Security Force this was the perfect ship. The crew where unknown dead or alive which made them announced as Missing in Action. The Division 9 personnel took over and took command of the Dauntless, later moving the vessel to Drake system where it became a vessel to guard the perimeter. It's duty now was to protect and to kill anything that was human that entered the system. After all the system was restricted and was Division 9's lair. A crew of former Liberty Security Force agents started to be re-trained on the Dauntless while it would take it's position in Drake. While their training was being completed, they where becoming the new crew of the Dauntless. They where former Liberty Security Force agents but they are Division 9 agents now. They are infected and the crew would become strong with great charisma. Division 8 agents role with the Dauntless was to stay hidden and not ruin their cover, this was going to be difficult with the news of the Dauntless going missing, also that Commander Mark Webb moved out to the Omicrons and joined the Order. It was agreed a new name for the ship was required but the name was yet to be chosen. So they would try their luck with the ship being known as The Dauntless Assault-battlecruiser unless it was completely necessary. Having skilled and fully qualified agents onboard the ship it would be easy to not be found out.
