Exporting/Importing account and lost forum username - Salvader - 04-15-2017
My father plays FL Discovery with us and has some double issues.
He exported the XML file from the launcher to be able to reimport it on his new cleaned up OS.
(First problem) Upon importing it, he logs in and there is no ships.
He should have these: Peteros.Biltos and Peterauss.Biltauss (or Petrauss.Biltauss)
Is there a thread that explains how to properly do this operation? Could his ships be lost if he exported it incorrectly?
(Second problem) Also, upon needing assistance, he wanted to hop on the forum, but lost his username.
The forum doesn't seem to have a lost username feature, only a lost password.
Anyone knows how we should proceed to get him back online? What information should I help him gather if needed?

You are looking for this thread: Admin Notice: Lost Characters or Accounts?
It is also accesible from the top link bar menu "Player Help" This is your best bet.
All the information about characters is stored on the server. What you are exporting from the Launcher is actually account information (username and password) that looks like this:

signature: 22502d98-18d49bde-8da711b7-031514b8
If for some reason the XML file got corrupted (when it was created, or transfered to the new OS)... You would most likely log into different account, if log at all.

He lost the User Name or the Password for it?
