Problem while patching - Hax - 07-18-2017
Pretty much what the title suggest, wanted to pick up on discovery Freelancer yet again after a break and i had to patch obviously.
Unfortunate for me whenever i start the Launcher i get the error:
"An error has occured while downloading one of the files. Please restart the Launcher to begin the process again"
I've been sitting for an hour now trying to fix it on my own, but no result.
For my Rig:
- Windows 10
- Intel Core 2x4 i7-4790 @3.60GHz
- NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970
- 16 GB RAM
- ACPI x64 based

Since you've got an existing Discovery install I assume your net framework is up to date. Are you behind a firewall or any sort of antivirus?

I am, but exceptions are already in place for the DSLauncher.

I had this issue recently and to fix it I just went into the disco install location and deleted the actual patch file located in the main install.
I have no idea how the launcher actually works, but my best bet would be it having issues and it either failed to properly download or install said patch and deleting it just causes it to download a new, hopefully working patch file.
