Hey folks,
I was wondering how to take screenshots like this one:

You know, with those "cinematic" black bars on the top and the bottom and without the HUD or chat messages. I guess it's fairly easy, but I have not idea how to do that nor could I find any controls or hotkeys for it so far. That technique is pretty nice for producing proper screens for graphic stuff, especially since I like to illustrate my RP posts.
Can anyone help me out?

open up paint, slap a black box on the top and bottom of the picture, there you go.
Use something like teorex inpaint to get rid of hud stuff, alternatively.

You can always take a screenshot of your ship while undocking from a base or jump gate/hole. That should give you that effect while hiding the HUD for the time it lasts.

There are tons of screenshots like this around and I don't believe that those bars were added after taking them.

Trust me, the boxes were edited in there.
Theres no function in Freelancer to take a cinematic screenshot.

Using the no hud mod is the easiest way to go about it. otherwise you will need to photoshop some stuff out and add the black bars to cover the hud.

It's called "NoHUDScreencapturemod.zip.flmod 4,305 bytes (0.004 mb) 64
I had to check when I wanted to start using it and yes, its fine to use within Disco. It doesn't install into FLMM right though, so you have to manually install it/backup to be ready to uninstall it.
