All characters using mismatched ID/Ship/Weapon combinations must possess either an Admin granted Terrorist ID or a Special Operative ID.
You want reputation with a certain faction, ask a few questions first.
For the purposes of this "guide" we'll use the Gallic Royal Navy as the desired faction.
1. What is it I want out of obtaining reputation with the Gallic Royal Navy?
1a. Weapons: Do they they fit your characters RP?
Yes: They do fit the character's RP, proceed to 1b
No: The character needs the best weapons to be good in PVP, Stop here, no reputation for you.
1b. Ships: Does it fit your characters RP?
Yes: They do fit the character's RP, proceed to 1c
No: The character needs the best ship to be good in PVP, Stop here, no reputation for you.
1c. NPC Alignment: Does it fit your characters RP?
Yes: They do fit the character's RP, proceed to 2
No: The character needs to travel hostile territory safely, Stop here, no reputation for you.
2. Does your character RP actually have you friendly to that faction by default?
Yes: My character's RP is that of a Gallic Royal Navy pilot, or one who is listed on the infocard as being friendly to that faction, proceed to 3
No-1: The character's RP is possibly that of a Sirian House Admiral who is enlisting in the Royal Navy, Stop here, no reputation for you.
No-2: The character's RP is that of a pilot who is listed on the infocard as being hostile to that faction, Stop here, no reputation for you.
Last but not least
3. Does your character Trade?
3a. Is that trade going to bases allied to Gallic Royals?
Yes: Proceed with obtaining the reputation. All trade by Gallic Royal allied factions is ok within Gallia.
No: Proceed to 3b
3b. Is your character of the Gallic Metal Service faction and going to a Council Base?
Yes: Proceed with obtaining the reputation. This faction is sympathetic to the Council's ideals and should be encouraged to smuggle to Council bases as long as they are not caught, and if so they should be encouraged to play along with the lawful forces and ship the goods to an Royal Allied base.
No: Proceed to 3c
3a. Is that trade outside Gallia with a faction with no ties to Gallia?
Yes: Stop here, no reputation for you.
No: Your trading without a Destination, Stop here, pick a destination, and return to 3a.
