Well, ladies and gentlemen, never let it be said you are immune to computer problems.
As of this moment, I have borrowed my mothers computer to type this up. Mine is dead. As in, the OS file is corrupt/missing dead. Can't even get the f*cker to boot up. This isn't a huge problem by itself, but for some reason my comp won't boot from any XP disk we put in, even when we tell it to. So, untill furthur notice, I have lost my comp.
Before you ask, no I don't know when I'll be able to get it back. This only happened about 3 hours ago, and we haven't even taken it to some of the comp repair guys. I'm hoping that I'll be able to get it fixed over the weekend.

That exact same thin happened to Mista's computer, It wouldnt start up windows XP....Eventually he fixed it tho, Dont be to worried its probably not that big of a problem.:)

Do you get the BIOS screen (the one with the ram count, and the disk list, etc), or you don't get image at all?

Ah crap... Dude that sucks... Ok lets see what I can remember...
First question, when you put your XP CD in and try to tell it to boot. Does a screen come up asking to boot from CD?
Second question, does the XP loading screen come up at all?
Third question, did you download/install anything new today?
Thats all I can think of at the moment...

Kane, damn i'm sorry to hear that. I'm so sad now:( I hope you're able to get everything back up and running soon. (if it makes you feel any better, my computer was sent back to Gateway for the fourth time...so don't get a Gateway....EVER)

The techy stuff I'll have to leave to those more suited to the task, because as you know, when mine refuses
to co-operate nicely, it gets threatened with a large blunt object and verbal abuse.

Actually it was more like; First Virus. Then Virus Again. Yet some more Viruses screwing with Virus.. Then me, then Kane.

Good luck Kane, yeah now more than ever I am feeling it was wise to email my user accounts to myself and have them backed up on two computers plus and MP3 player.... Well Kane my sympathies to you and best wishes.
