Just wanted to report that I had finally made it safely to base and into the ranks of the RHA. It took a lot of searching, dodging and fighting but I made it. I especially want to thank Nathan for his assistance in drawing off four RA fighters so I could make it into the Dresden jump hole.

I have aquired a Sabre fighter and I am awaiting further instructions.

Greetings brothers,

I am here reporting a victory against two Repx assault crafts. It was myself, RHA brother Nathan, the merc Blackdragon, and a new recruit.

It was myself and Nathan against the crusier at first. We were taking down its shield and doing a little bit of hull damage. But he was targeting my guns with his missles and i had already lost a few guns. My ship was breaking apart and i contacted the merc blackdragon to aid us. He was a few systems away and my ship was destroyed and Nathan tractored in my pod. He fought on bravely for a long time, and even when another Repx fighter showed up, he showed great courage and combat skill.

He fought on, alone, untill the merc showed up to destroy the crusier. Just before he died, a foul missle flew into Nathan's ship and it was destroyed, the merc was quick to tractor us in. Shortly after he killed both Repx securities. We owe him our life and our thanks, i am currently at the medical ward in vogtland recovering from my wounds, but i will be back on my feet in no time.

It was a busy day yesterday; first, the scheduled training session. Even though my Marauder is presently inferior to all our other fighters in every respect - firepower, agility, armor - I nonetheless managed to get it away from the refitters for one night for training. At first it was just Nightblade, Kapitan Moritz, and myself. We began with a pair of duels between the Kapitan and Nightblade; the latter won them both due to his skillful use of his ship's torpedo launcher.

Shortly after, Nathan arrived, and then it was my turn to fly against Nightblade. His torpedo nearly destroyed my fighter after the first couple of passes, but my ship's hard-to-hit profile and unpredictable piloting allowed me to last for several minutes, though I was unable to deal any serious damage to his vessel. Nightblade then fought the Kapitan again, with the same result as the other two times.

Then I fought the Kapitan's Sabre, and it was a good fight. Fortunately for me, he had less than a dozen Cannonball missiles left for his dual launchers, and so quickly ran out of them. He downed my shields several times, but was unable to quite finish off my hull before I wore his ship down to nothing. I tried a new tactic over the latter half of the battle, and it seemed to work well. I won at last, with 1/4 of my hull and 1/3 shield remaining.

Afterwards, a Helghast pilot arrived, and we invited him to join us. We decided that our next battle would be 3 on 2, with the larger-numbered group consisting of myself, Nathan, and the Helghast using some cooperative tactics we had all observed the RM using; and Nightblade and the Kapitan playing the part of the Hessians, and fighting as individuals.

After a few minutes, the battle's end was virtually a foregone conclusion. I think Nathan's fighter was destroyed; I do not remember if the Helghast pilot's was or not. But at the end of the fierce dogfight, I still had full hull and shields, and both Nightblade and the Kapitan's fighters had been destroyed. It was, all-in-all, a thoroughly convincing display of the indispensable value of teamwork. Nightblade and the Kapitan are both excellent pilots, and by rights, should have been able to do better against us; but thanks to our change in tactics, they could not.

It was very encouraging to see us making such progress; much, much more must be made before we can truly stand toe-to-toe with our enemies, the Corsairs and RM, and win...but I feel we have finally begun taking the first steps towards the goal of victory.

--------------------------------------------

Later, I was raiding Daumann and Kruger transports when I saw Rekrut Stone on my scope. I asked if he needed any help; he replied that his reputation needed some help, and so I offered my assistance. We took a few missions together, with Nathan joining us in the middle of one of them. I then led them both to our base in Omega-11 so Stone could upgrade his weaponry and other equipment, followed by a return to Vogtland. By then, his IFF was squawking "Hessian", so our task was done. I raided more transports until I had a full hold of diamonds and H-fuel, then returned home for the night.

Kapitan, I am honored of the promotion, and can't wait to fulfill my duties as Leutnant. Unfortunately, serious paperwork came up recently and need to be done as soon as possible. But I will see if I can manage to show up today.

I want to use this opportunity to congratulate Leutnant Egon, too. He has indeed deserved the Medal of Zeal. Congratulations, Leutnant Egon!

I am honored, Kapitan; I will do my best. And I look forward to gunship training...it will be a pleasure to direct some heavier firepower in the path of our foes.

Thank you, Reinhold, and congratulations to you as well!

First, a brief report on the Odin: it is a fantastic fighter, agile and with plenty of firepower. I am impressed with what our engineers have managed to put together; soon enough, they will be tested against Rheinland Wraths, I'm certain of it.

Good news, brothers! Two new gunships, acquired from our Lane Hacker associates, are now commissioned and ready for combat. Both saw some action tonight, but I will get to that later in my report. The first, the Leopard, is piloted by Fleet Kapitan Moritz (as well as others of certain rank). The second, the Eismaid, is my own gunship. Yes, my gunship! It will take some getting used to, but I've no doubt I can manage.

She is still not fully armed, but the Eismaid is combat-ready. She handles better than some bombers, but with the firepower one would expect of a gunship...I do not think I could love a vessel more than I love this one. And even moreso, the more I experience her capabilities in a fight.

Tonight, I passed a Spatial called "ROY" on my way to Dresden from the Hacker base in Magellan. A quick scan revealed that he had three Hessian pilots in his hold! He managed to get away before I could say anything, so I continued to Dresden. There, I met Nightblade and Kapitan Moritz in the Leopard...and ROY, off in the distance, trying to sneak past us by using the jumphole near Vogtland rather than the jump gate.

We gave chase, rapidly calculating his trajectory and altering our courses to suit. But his lead was too great, and he managed to land on the battleship stationed in-system before we could catch him. So we decided to wait for him to re-emerge, and I proceeded to offer up our demands.

Me: Roy, we know you have Hessian pilots in your hold. Release them, and we will let you go. Sell them...and things will not go so well for you.
ROY: Too late. Already sold them.
Nightblade: Then pay up.
ROY: Screw you.

At that point, we decided that Roy would not be leaving the Dresden system alive. We surrounded the battleship: the Kapitan and Nightblade on the north side, and myself on the south side. Sure enough, in seconds he appeared fleeing from the battleship, directly towards me. I loosed a number of salvoes that tore into his exploration vessel's hull, nearly destroying her...but he passed by me before I could give the killing blow. My cruise disruptors fell short, and the chase was on.

Nightblade and Kapitan Moritz caught up to him near Liepzig, but again he managed to enter cruise just before he could be destroyed, shielded from our CDs by thick asteroid cover. We chased him well beyond the bounds of the asteroid field, all the way to the Omega-15 jump hole. Moritz had already told him that he was now on our kill-on-sight list, so I decided to break off pursuit at that point and return to Vogtland. Roy would have to live in fear whenever he entered Rheinland space. Nightblade continued the chase, however, and thanks to his excellent piloting skill caught and destroyed the apathetic pilot's ship.

But the night was not yet over...no sooner had I landed at Vogtland than I heard something over the comms that made my blood boil.

Alexander.Kalashnikov: Die, Hessian scum!

So I launched, and found quite a scene 5k from Vogtland...

1x Order-tagged Nephthys (Alexander)
1x Corsair-tagged Nephthys (|ALMEROS|)
1x LWB-tagged Hessian Cruiser (Varyag)

and of course my own brothers, Kapitan Moritz and Nightblade. With the help of Varyag, the intruders were soon destroyed with no damage to any of our ships. I am surprised they showed so little sense of self-preservation that they decided to press the attack even after the odds were hopelessly turned against them. I inflicted crippling damage to Alexander's fighter just before he killed himself with an explosive weapon; and one of our Hessian allies finished off |ALMEROS|, though he managed to last a good while longer than his companion.

All in all, a good night, and a shakedown cruise to remember. It was good to be victorious for once; I had begun to wonder if I might grow too used to defeat. Another day passes, and the Fatherland is made just a bit better by our efforts.

Hello brothers, after the glorious battle mentioned by Leutnant Conrad previously, me and the hessian Varyag decided to head to Gamma to rough up the corsairs there. Upon our arrival into gamma he was immediately hailed by the Corsairs to state his business in Gamma.

Seems they were watchin our approach, these Corsair dogs are getting smarter. Once we were within range the Corsairs discovered he was Hessian and called for more support. We had a Corsair gunboat engage us first, shortly after a Osiris battleship came into fireing range.

It was decided at that point it was a good time to run, we fled gamma but Varyag didnt get far before he was destroyed. I evaded for serveral moments before entering into cruise one final time. I thought i was away, but a Corsair Gunboat was on my six and destroyed me with ease when I was not paying attention. I was hitched back to Vogtland and hopped in my spare Moldy Crow.

We headed to New Berlin this time to show the Rhienland Military why they should fear the Hessians. It was only one fighter and as he cut his engines to face me in my crow, I planted a Torp in his hull and ended his life.

Just as me and Varyag were discussing what beers we liked to drink back home, two [LC] pilots started to engage me without any warning.

I quickly returned fire and the battle was an intresting one, just as i thought I had one pilot, I launced a Torpedo and my ship got rammed by the 2nd [LC] pilot. It was my bad manner of luck that he rammed me into my own torpedo that caused my ships destruction. Varyag was kind enough to tractor me in and escort me back to Vogtland base for Medical attention while i awaited construction of new fighters.

I have learned a lesson today, one I shall not easily forget. The [LC] dogs shall pay for trying to end my life.
