Does it work and is it allowed?

If its allowed is it possible to load the texture mod with a commandline? I have to start my game with command line otherwise it won't fit well on my widescreen and the mod manager doesn't let you add any command lines.
Really makes the game look soo much better I hope I can make it work ^_^

I am with you 100%. This mod is brilliant, will make Freelancer more great.
I am voting to admins let us to use this mode or another skin mode.
My eyes are hurting me with this standard look last 2 years. I can bet that a lot of other players would say same thing.
This mod can bring lot of pleasure to all players.

Technically anything that is client-side only won't be picked up by anyone and/or effect server operation. For example: HUD mods. But as per the comments on that texture pack by the creator of the pack down the page of the link you gave us, Discovery administrators have already out-ruled it. It went on to say that using it would be impossible due to the fact we have our own custom textures.
I suggest leaving it alone.

That announcement specifically refers to the HD texture mod mentioned in this thread.
That announcement even tells you the specific reasons why that HD texture mod is NOT allowed on the Discovery RP 24/7 server.
