Freelancer is an arcade space shooter game, what do you expect?

If RP is just talking you don't need to log on the server, you can do that right here of the forum.

Besides most plots are driven by conflict. That is true for books, cinema, and games too. In fact there are those that would say that civilization in general is fueled by conflict and wars.

PVP is a plot device. Nothing less, nothing more.

Wrong, RP is not just talking, even when it is doing it ingame is very different for many reasons you will understand if you think about it. PvP IS one of them.

Unless its pvp just for the sake of pvp. Conflict must have reason to exist in order to be interesting. It also must have depth to not be boring. "WE R ENEMEES, WE SHOOT EACH OTHA!" gets old very quickly.

PvP is the most basic form of RP and is present on 90% of games.

RE: Is Discovery dying? - Gypsie - 05-02-2013

It is dying for sure .
Lately i only see frustrated no-brained pips just trolling and breaking every rule they can .

The good players are disapearing slowly but constantly , the fun is going away too .
