Now I'm not sure if thats realy possible though, however, that might even be REALY hard to make this available for all Ships you know... I thought about a modus where you can buy engine colors or have a command in "pimpship" which you can change your engine colors. I think this would realy have a nice effect on unnofficial factions ALSO official faction groups which use different ships, so they can choose their own engine color. Just a suggestion, I remember it seeing on another mod but I don't remember which one it was... Not even sure if I realy saw it somewhere
I'm talking about a command for Pimpship which changes engine colors, not every single engine just like "Engine Color: Green, Blue, Red, White" so one code which changes all engines of course, or else we'd have a rainbow Corsair Dreadnought flying. But I mean it should be somehow possible to put that option at least for civilian ships. Maybe let engine changes be more expensive, because the complete overhaul would take some serious work on the Shipyard. Allthough I mentioned a Dreadnought, I m not talking about Capital Ships here. Snubs, max Snubs + Gunboats.

IONCROSS lets you do this in Vanilla, and I don't see why not.

In order to do this, you'd have to replace the entire engine object. Which means there'd have to be engine objects with visual effects suitable for all ships of the class that have them. That would be a nightmare to prepare, and would require a new hook to get done. Not to mention the anticheat would probably freak out when people fly around with engines that aren't part of the ship package on buying.
In short, it can be done, but it's a lot (probably too much) work.
