I'll go into this by saying that I've been having this issue for about a month now on-and-off, I have no idea how or why it happens but it's become more so drastic only now.
Whenever I close the game entirely and then a few moments later select another account and try to logs one of its characters onto the server, the game automatically minimizes itself and refuses to maximize thereafter, staying on the taskbar until I close it with the command prompt.
During these occasions I'm always kicked by the cheat detect because something's most definitely going wrong.
This is continuing to happen even after several reinstalls, most of which were complete wipes and account restoration reinstalls. I have no idea what's causing this and I thought I'd clarify why I keep getting these cheat detect kicks.
Is there any way someone can identify what's causing this and if I can permanently fix it?
Launching the singleplayer 'sandbox' as it were and then trying to access multiplayer allowed me to successfully log a character of mine, but this issue still concerns me. I'm sure that from my end the game is perfectly set up and that I haven't 'created' any discrepancies.
1st tho try these step even tho you possibly done this before
not sure if i can 100% help so , i hope i dont get shot down for trying
1. Uninstall disco and freelancer and any other mods (some mods interfere with disco)
2. Go into your my documents and delete any saved folder that you see of freelancer/disco
3. Check your virus checker for any quarantined “dsace.dll” and remove it
4. Temporary disable “live” protection of your virus checker, and also whilst at it, make sure you don’t have an over protective firewall
5. Reinstall freelancer to default folders and then install disco to default folders
Eg mine is C:\Users\*your login*\AppData\Local\Discovery Freelancer 4.88.1
6. Go into your virus checker and tell it to allow that ENTIRE folder and all in it
7. Try disco before enabling virus checker
8. if it crashes after that and you have bloom enabled, disable it, by going into the freelancer folder, locating d3d8.dll and rename it to something else, eg d3d8.dllold, and then retry

All the above eight suggestions have been tried by me in the past. Not once. Not twice. Not thrice. Not four times. But five times. The issue still persists.
