I guess newly canonised factions fall I to whole different can of worms. But at the same time I think there is no (=D) infocards regarding such character that would make it canonised.
Honestly, my only gripe with this is that it seems targetted at Houses - which have large amounts of 'pixel power' and so there needs to be cautious when it comes to what and how they roleplay. But for everyone else... idk. No strong feelings one way or another, but I think it's a bit unfair to them (and in their cases, roleplaying as that character can be integral to the development of that faction). Maybe keep this for Houses, but then publish guidelines and regulations for other factions?

What non house canonised characters are you aware of that require to be roleplayed by player?

While initially I was discouraged playing the Baron of MAE that submitted the request to canonisation, I came to realisation that it does not actually impede smaller factions. Firstly, factions with the scale of MAE or, say, NO can IMHO continue RPing their leaders without issues as the decisions of those leaders do not usher the foundation of Sirius like the leaders of houses. Secondly, there are other means to keep those characters inRP in check. I do not strongly feel disadvantaged here. I doubt Core Guildmaster would also be problematic to RP under this new rule.
