Over the past many months the Maquisard Front de Liberation de Gallia has been trying to abuse the devastation of Lorraine and famine on planet Metz left behind by the Kusarian invasion to fuel discontent in the system. The Front propaganda has been making hard to believe claims that the Maquisards stand behind the people of Metz, want to liberate them and even help them gain independence. They have even uncharacteristically called on and paid for massess of Sirian haulers to deliver food supplies to the starving planet Metz, making space for them with their combat units while at the same time instigating and even setting up anonymous bounty boards for Sirian unlawful groups to create chaos in the system.
In a long openly telegraphed operation they dubbed the the "Lorraine Uprising" all hell breaks loose. Gallic haulers compete with Maquis' instigated Sirians to feed the people of Lorraine to get them to their side. Fights between the Union forces, Maquisards and their allies errupt. The Outcasts that have been trying to punch through to Lorraine ever since the minefield path was cleared attempt to take advantage of the situation, add to the chaotic mess and are quickly met by Corsican opposition who fight for their domination over the Gallic drug markets.
The fayth of planet Metz and the Lorraine system will be decided over this chaotic three way stand-off.

The immediate goal is to repel the invasion of the Liberty Navy and Bretonian Armed Forces from Kansas and Vespucci. Our enemies have evidently employed sorcerers, discovered all hidden jump holes, passed heavy asteroid fields and magically know the locations of all our bases and have already destroyed Mulvane. Opinion: What is the agreeable price of freedom? Today me, Jaques Dantes have seen what it really means to try to do the right thing. For the past many months I have been bringing you news from the Lorraine system dear readers. I believed what I have written - it seemed almost impossible to see the system that was so deeply Royalist ingraned be influenced by someone who fought so dearly against Royals.
And yet, The Maquisards Front de Liberation de Gallia has given many marginalized masses and yours truly, your LGNS correspondent hope - they have won our hearts with the massive quantities of relief we didn't get from the union. Many people were smitten by their propaganda and friendly approach, we finally thought somebody understands us. At great risk, we have started going to the streets, we were still the minority, but with sirian and Maquisard support, perhaps parts of Metz could be Liberated, me and hundreds of thousands of others have put our skin out there.
But then at the height of the need, when we started believing - they were gone. Just vanished, left their own people be decimated by the thousands at the battlefield they prepared for such a long time. Sirian haulers that trusted in their protection now exposed, at the mercy of the Gallic Union for unbeknowingly smuggling in Maquisard Propaganda that promised nothing but lies. What were they doing? Why did they give people of Lorraine hope only to vanish to Champagne to try to capture some old rusting scrap.
I want to give them the benefit of the doubt, but I am dissappointed.

In this ranks you will expirience all you learned in theory on the field. Now you are ready to be the backbone of the Fleet. As a junior officer you will take part in direct combat operations, lead and educate crewmen, and be ready to take more responsibility aboard warships.
You have earned your wings. Its is time for you to start feeling like you are really in command. You are starting to take charge of Gunboat class vessels and gain experience as part of the Command Information Centre on our finest warships. As Lieutenant the Admiralty expecst you to take smart desicions on the field as this is your exit from Low Command and step into Mid Command of the Armada.
Ensigns are looking up to you and high ranking officers watching and assessing your performance on the field. You are important and your commanding presence can be felt whenever you enter the room.
You are considered a commanding officer. You are starting to be given responsibility for dealing with stakeholders across Liberty - other fleets, corporations and others. This is the role where you start to be the Commanding Officer of warships and squadrons.
Everyone looks up to you. You command multiple squadrons, lead missions you yourself often commission. The Command Information Centre of warships is your frequent home. You take initiative in directing stakeholders in Liberty and are fully trusted by the Admiralty to do so autonomously without much oversight. In wartimes you can even command entire battlegroups in the field in case of an absence of higher ranks.
Welcome to High Command. The Captain of the Armada is an experienced pilot who knows how to lead multiple battlegroups if necessary. You name is known not only to your fellow heroes but Liberty's enemies too.
Lower ranks admire and look up to you hoping one day to be Captains themselves. You are fully entrusted to speak on behalf the First Armada in all matters but those that really must involve the Admiralty. You are expected to the the Commanding Officer of not only most warships you set foot on, but also everyone assigned to their group.
You are the Admiralty. You make the highest level decisions. In the First Armada you are not expected to only sit behind the desk. Our admirals unless consumed by their High Command duty are fully expected to lead by an example in the front lines. They even perform low level patrols to motivate the officers under their command whenever they can, and charge head on in battle on their commanding vessels.

United heroes bring war criminals to justice in Orkney.
After many years The Bretonians managed to finally force The Enclave to flee from The Edinburgh system. The former royalists just hoped to quietly return to the fold of Gallic politics without any repercussions, and enslave it's people via the means of forming a military state, The Gallic Union, under the pretence of protecting Gallia from foreign powers. Even without any resistance, The Enclave faced serious logistical nightmares plaguing the reincorporation of their people and military assets into The Gallic Union.
The hopes of quiet logistical re-unification were quickly snuffed out, as The Maquis and Gaian scouts quickly uncovered The Enclave assets and people being moved through The Orkney system. The heroic Maquis, who's ranks have been rejuvenated after the intense outrage and disgust among many of the Royalists' former "subjects", assembled the largest force of various peoples since The Council betrayed them.
The united people that fight for the freedom of Gallia, along with many Sirian allies that haven't forgotten the Royalist atrocities, have struck a devastating blow to the former royalist war criminals. While taking heavy lossess in a direct military assault, they managed to capture one of The Enclave's logistical vessels. With the help of Unione Corse and various Sirians they filled it bursting to the seems with explosives, and vaporised The Enclave transports vessels and millitary forces guarding them by detonating the liner in their midst.
This was a clear message to The Union that Gallia's people will not be enslaved by the military state without a fight, and that the people of Sirius haven't forgotten what the former royalists have done.
