>The ACCV-LLV-700 "Spyglass"<
[font=Courier New]A key component of the offensive and defensive capabilities of the Spyglass is not its main armament, which, while lethal within four kilometers, lacks both the range and precision to make it effective for use on a strategic level. Rather, it is the ability to both deploy and support strike craft, something introduced with the complete chassis redesign implemented with the 400 series, that is its true power.
In this modern age, the power and influence of the massive behemoths of earlier ages, the huge battleships and dreadnoughts of past eras, have been slowly overshadowed by the faster, more agile, and most importantly, more cost effective modern snubcraft. Nowhere has this been proven more dramatically than with the Gas Miners Guild's victory over the fleets of Rheinland during the 80-Years War.
Progression:
Mark 0: Liberty Navy Advanced Electronic Warfare Carrier [font=Courier New]
This is where it all began. The first, and perhaps the last true version of the Spyglass-class capital ship. Originally proposed around the same time as the Osiris, which had already become the subject of hot debates between those designing and funding it due to the application of experimental technologies in the design, the vessel which would become known as the Spyglass was designed as a both a sister ship and, if certain fears were realized, as a counter to the Osiris.
The planned design would feature highly advanced sensor technologies intended to both detect, identify, and track vessels across a massive area, and employ electronic warfare to disrupt enemy communications and coordination.
Mark 1: LNS-Ragnarok [font=Courier New]
Mark 2: [font=Courier New]
As one of the longest known capital ship classes in active service at the time, the Legion faced a very unique situation with the original Ragnarok; the ship was far too large for all but the largest of military-grade shipyards to handle properly. As such, repairs to the Ragnarok had to be made in open space by a veritable fleet of utility ships, and the end result was that very little of the original ship remained intact, though the massive sensor array was carefully extracted early on in the ship's career, and integrated into the foundation of the vast monitor network which keeps watch over the Vespucci Home system to this day.
The patchwork status of the Ragnarok was the primary motivator towards the construction of the core of the original Phoenix Shipyard facility, and no sooner had the last weld solidified did the first and only vessel in the Mark 1 class make her final run.
The Ragnarok was stripped down literally to her keel, and rebuilt from the ground up by Legion hands, and according to Legion designs, modified from engineering schematics originally provided to her shakedown crew. The new design, now classified as the Mark 2,
The Hellfire Legion still maintains and uses several of the ships that became a part of it during its creation and several ships that were acquired in deals with allied factions over the past years.
This list also includes all other noteable ships of the legion.
>[HF]-HFGB-Mentu - The Mentu is an old Liberty Gunboat, another remnant from the uprising, which used to serve as Lord Commander Aethelu's favourite method of transportation,
apart from being one of the most successful ships in combat while under his command.
It is a venerable relic, and now on display inside Fort Leniex.
>[HF]-HFGBx-Undaunted - Once known as the Silverfire, this Liberty gunboat has undergone several major overhauls and experimental addons. Hardly bearing any resemblance to its predecessors, this gunboat has been most often seen under the command of Grand Admiral Raisu. Currently it serves as a mobile training asset, with new commanders for the legion's bigger and meaner capital ships being assigned to it every few weeks in order to judge their command performance
>[HF]-HFB-Ven'Gyr - The "Burning Fist" of the legion, the Ven'Gyr is one of the prime examples of the legion's might. This Outcast Dreadnought has served in all of the legion's major conflicts and has taken part in more battles than any other of the legion's capital ships. One of the few vessels to survive the uprising virtually unscathed, and heavily damaging Ravager in the process, it still operates as well as on the first day and many outsiders believe that even if the legion were to fall, this great beast would still march on, obliterating everything in its path like an unstoppable fire from the depths of hell.
>[HF]-HFB-Incursus - Once torn asunder and forged anew the Incursus dates back to times where the legion and the Black Squadron were close allies and men of myth and legend like Drake Thasus, Aralie Phelps and the Black Squadron's commander-in-chief, known as Dustin "Dboy" Hoff, roamed Sirius. By age the Incursus could be considered a relic like the Mentu and Ven'Gyr, but the ship can be seen wandering around Liberty day after day, often spearheading raids thanks to its elusiveness and agility, and striking fear into the hearts of men with each capital ship that ends up as a cloud of fire and debris after falling prey to this unforgiving manifestation of the legion's might. And unforgiving is its commander's nature just the same, as the Incursus is the favorite ship of the "Grace" AI, relentlessly plotting the destruction of more and more Navy assets without rest or mercy. A less known fact is that the Incursus is home to the Assault Reconnaissance Wing, a small group of specialists who, as the name suggest, excel at scouting hostile areas prior to legion strikes, amongst other, classified duties.
>[HF]-HFBx-Pandion - Previously the Lord Commander Tadao Mori's flagship, the Pandion is the sister ship of the Neo Terran Front's Spyglass, the Belisarius. Utilizing the most advanced electronic warfare systems, quadruple layer armor plating, standoff range and point defense weaponry, the Pandion is by far the most advanced ship in the Legion's service. Heavily damaged during the uprising, the Pandion spent months undergoing repairs at Leniex.
However those have recently been completed and the Pandion is currently only undergoing extensive modifications with new and secret technologies.
>[HF]-HFB-Libertine - Formerly the personal ship of Grand Admiral LeBlanc prior to his early retirement, the Libertine has now been refit to be a state-of-the-art fleet asset and serves mostly as a training ship for the legion's capital ship crews in Vespucci. Regardless of that factor it remains a full-scale Hellfire Legion battleship which, while rarely seen on the battlefield, should not be underestimated just due to its lack of 'fancy history'. A permanent commander has yet to be assigned to the ship, until then the Libertine will keep fulfilling its current purpose.
>[HF]-HFD-Iblis, Abaddon and Asmodai - Put into service awhile back by the then-Executive Commander Atheus, these ships have served the Legion well, particularly during the uprising. The Asmodai, now little more than a debris field around Leniex, was a Storta. Meant to be a multipurpose vessel, capable of eliminating both capital vessels and smaller strike craft with ease, it was Wainwright's ship of choice in its day. The Abbadon, another Storta, was designed to punch through the hulls of massive capital vessels with swiftness and ferocity. It still serves the Legion today, and is the favorite ship of Grand Admiral Raisu. The Iblis, A Scylla, was designed mainly for large scale engagements and the defense of Vespucci. Loaded primarily with point defense weapons, the Iblis is not to be trifled with by anything smaller than another cruiser.
>The "Great Wyrms" - They were six Blood Dragon Heavy Fighters and three Blood Dragon Bombers that were acquired in an arms deal with the Nova Power Generation many years ago.
These hand-crafted ships have been made specially for the legion and are, due to their performance and the exceptional quality of materials used in their construction,
among the legion's most prized possessions.
Recently the old and worn-down Wyrms were returned to the Blood Dragons in exchange for four new Katana-class fighters and two Nodachi-class bombers.
Flying them is a rare privilege that can only be bestowed upon a member by the Lord Commander himself.
Ships marked with an "x" at the end of their class designation are experimental themselves or serve as a testbed for experimental technologies,
either of which necessitates a permission from High Command in order to fly / command them.
One must become friendly with the Lane Hackers and acquire a Lane Hacker ID.
Afterwards one is to make first contact via the Hellfire Legion recruitment channel where all further information will be provided.
Those who command capital ships must contact the Hellfire Legion High Command if they wish for the ship in question to become a part of the legion.
-->Special Operations and Armed Reconnaissance Division<--
The Hellfire Legion maintains a small separated division of officers that have shown exceptional performance on and off the field of battle and have gone beyond the call of duty on numerous occassions.
This division is responsible for the planning and execution of the following tasks:
-Infiltration of enemy high security territory.
-Sabotage of enemy installations and capital ships.
-Acquisition of tactical data prior to combat engagements.
-Assassinations of enemy key officers.
-Armed reconnaissance on enemy forces.
-Covert reconnaissance on neutral and enemy forces.
-Field testing of new equipment and technology.
The Special Operations and Armed Reconnaissance Division, called SAD for short, has a seperate ranking system consisting of only two ranks:
>The Star Colonel, who possesses all the same privileges equal to the Executive Commander of the Hellfire Legion, but only retains command authority over its members equal to a Fleet Admiral.
The Star Colonel responds only to the Lord Commander.
The current Star Colonel (1/1) is:
>The Star Captain, who possesses the privileges equal to a Major in the Hellfire Legion, but retains no authority over any of its members unless noted otherwise.
Star Captains respond only to the Lord Commander and the Star Colonel.
The current Star Captains (7/8) are:
-->Joining Requirements of the Special Operations and Armed Reconnaissance Division<--
To apply for the SAD one must be a member of the Hellfire Legion and must have shown an exceptional dedication to the legion's cause,
as well as outstanding performances in the field of duty that pertain to the SAD's interests, on top of having at least achieved the rank of Major.
Regardless, one has to apply to the High Command for a transition via the communications channel and explain one's reasoning and motivation for wishing to join the ranks of the SAD,
and only the Lord Commander and Star Colonel can approve or disapprove an application.
-->Assault Reconnaissance Wing<--
Amidst the ranks of the legion and even the SAD some pilots may stand out above others in the fields of reconnaissance in hostile territory and the gathering of strategic and tactical data.
The ones who do end up as part of the Assault Reconnaissance Wing, or AR as it more commonly referred to.
Experienced and thoroughly-trained specialists in their field of work, they are a rather secretive and highly-professional group of pilots operating from aboard the battleship Incursus.
Not unlike the SAD they fulfill the following duties:
-Infiltration of enemy high security territory.
-Acquisition of tactical data prior to combat engagements.
-Armed reconnaissance on enemy forces.
-Interception of high-value targets.
The Assault Reconnaissance Wing specializes in those, and only those areas exclusively.
They are masters of interception and battlefield surveillance who only fly the lightest of fighters in order to ensue maximum survivability and flexibility while operating in all-out hostile territory.
Due to the sensitivity of their work, and as requested by their current commanding officer, they are only known by their callsigns.
All records pertaining to their identities are accessible by the High Command only, with a shroud of mystery surrounding the wing everywhere and all the time.
Unlike the SAD however there is no separate command structure, but out of respect and courtesy the most experienced member of the wing is referred to as "Recon One".
He has the final say regarding AR operations, as well as having the final say when it comes to the additions of new members to the wing.
-->Joining Requirements of the Assault Reconnaissance Wing<--
Applying for the AR is much like applying for the SAD, with the same overall requirements, including the rank of Major.
The key difference lies in that one applies to the High Command, with only Recon One having the final say ain approving or disapproving an application.

DIAMETER: 12,204 km.
MASS: 3.29 x 10e24 kg.
TERRAIN: Terrestrial
TEMPERATURE: -79°C to 56°C
ESCAPE VELOCITY: 10.10 km/sec
The planet Guadalajara in the Vespucci system is a rare occurrence in the Sirius Sector. Its surface is covered with a mixture of hot deserts, wet jungles, ice cold mountain ranges and virtually every other type of terrain found on other planets in Sirius. However, the great variety brings also all kinds of extreme weather and temperatures, a price worth paying in exchange for the vast amounts of natural resources the planet habits.
Regardless of the sometimes extreme conditions, the Hellfire Legion is planning to undertake a limited terraforming process to make most of the planet's surface habitable. In the more mediterranean and temperate regions, several local settlements have already been constructed together with adjoining military installations, along with a few resource-extracting operations formed around what appears to be a relatively small capitol of unknown name. Prior to that the Legion installed an extensive and highly classified planetary defense network which is complemented by full-scale planetary shields and Fort Leniex' extensive electronic warfare systems, rendering any attempts at breaching the jamming fields unlikely in the first place while the planet's own defenses ensure any attempt at an orbital bombardment to be doomed to fail. Despite the installations and the population on the planet's surface however, the Legion is unwilling to acquire the necessary data and resources for the construction of a full docking ring, as such a structure would render the jamming field in place effectively pointless the second someone saw the docking ring.
A little known fact about Guadalajara is that the headquarters of the elusive BigMAX™ corporation are also located on the planet's surface, the reason for that being a mystery.

Planet Iridescencia
DIAMETER: 8,304 km.
MASS: 5.58 x 10e24 kg.
TERRAIN: Barren
TEMPERATURE: 15°C to 76°C
ESCAPE VELOCITY: 8.10 km/sec
The Planet Iridescencia, named after the optical phenomenon "Iridescence" in which hue changes with the angle from which a surface is viewed, is a good example of how something can be beautiful and simple at first, yet still deadlier than an entire fleet of warships when examined closer. It seems to possess no memorable resources, and its most notable features are that the surface is ravaged by never-ending electrical storms still visible from outer space, almost impossibly intense acid rains and near-constant volcanic eruptions. While this has made any future plans for terraforming more than unlikely to happen, one must ask himself whether that is not for the better, for when observed from a close distance the interaction of the forces of nature creates a breathtaking, ever-changing and never-repeating sight. Unfortunately this has more than once drawn a foolish pilot who wanted to take a closer look far too deep into the planet's gravity well. The Hellfire Legion, being well aware of those "accidents", says that it is the pure beauty of destruction itself that makes those weak of heart not see the risks, and thus have nicknamed the planet the "Land of the blind".
Protected by an unknown type of sensor-jamming field that appears to be projected throughout and beyond the Leniex Asteroid Cloud, Fort Leniex is the one and definite home of the Hellfire Legion. The installation was constructed around the same time the asteroid cloud around it formed, masking the entire construction process from all eyes. Little is known about the true capabilities of the fort or of the secrets it houses within. Long-range scans have proven to be inconclusive due to the interferences caused by the Leniex Asteroid Cloud and all probes sent into the area have been destroyed at the outer edges of the cloud. No manned surveillance vessels have returned. The fort itself remains impervious to all scans due to a type of sensor-jamming field.
According to rumors, the fort - an entirely self-sufficient installation in itself, is protected by a highly advanced and terrifyingly deadly remote weapons network. In addition to this the fort itself is bristling with the latest defensive weaponry. The fort is said to feature multiple warship manufacturing facilities capable of constructing ships of any size, more than enough facilities to service and maintain said ships, an extensive weapon manufacturing complex, highly-advanced research facilities, the most advanced long range scanning and communications network in existence and other, more secret, defenses. In addition, a contingent of the Hellfire Legion's finest dwarfing the one at Monterrey is said to be always stationed on the fort, making any attempt to intrude or gather valuable information about it a suicidal task at best. Of course the nearby stationed Battleship Fate's Hand only adds to the intimidating nature of Leniex, ensuring that any potential assault will be a suicidal endeavor at best.
After the construction of Fort Leniex, Monterrey Base was initially given the role of a fall-back fortress of the Hellfire Legion in Vespucci. As a result of the Legion's recent growth and expanded diplomatic relations with the Unioners, it also serves as a secondary manufacturing hub, an equipment, ship and fuel distribution facility as well as a "miniature city" within a colossal rock. The Legion's strike-craft production and maintenance is centered on Monterrey, with the resident engineers' ingenuity having given birth to the Legion's trademark "Prosecutor" class of Very Heavy Fighters.
Monterrey itself also features an extensive defensive weapons array, including numerous deadly weapon platforms, which alone are able to fend off any possible assault. A large contingent of the Hellfire Legion Home Guard is also stationed on Monterrey, ensuring that to this date the station still rivals the strongest military outposts and space stations of the Liberty Navy in defenses and firepower.
When the construction of Fort Leniex finished, a shift of priorities led to America Base having a key role in acting as a forward communications station, providing intelligence to the rest of the Hellfire Legion. It is a small station, yet large enough to hold the most complex of communications and sensory equipment, including a downsized, yet equally effective, replica of the Spyglass Scanner. Additionally the station serves as a quick to access maintenance port for the Hellfire Legion and their allies. Housing multiple automated repair, refueling and rearming facilities, it is able to service moderately large numbers of small craft quickly and efficiently while surveying the entirety of the Vespucci system and its immediate surroundings relentlessly with its advanced sensor suite.
It also serves as an effective transit point for all ships headed to Leniex or Monterrey, and everyone who sets foot into Vespucci without invoking the Legion's wrath will be first visiting America to undergo the necessary security procedures currently in effect.

La Paz Depot
CLASS: Seville
GRAVITY: No
DOCKING: No
AMENITIES: No
POPULATION: Zero
La Paz Depot serves as a secondary automated storage facility for the Hellfire Legion. Surplus supplies and miscellaneous cargo shipments of relatively negligible value are often redirected to the facility to be automatically stored for possible later use.
It is rumored that an incredibly brave, or incredibly stupid plunderer once managed to avoid the depot's defensive network to find a shipment of long-forgotten Rheinland diamonds, Molly Gold, Kusari Niobium and Colorado Silver inside one of the many storage containers. The man in question, his name buried in time, supposedly ended up lost somewhere in the system when being chased by a Hellfire Legion patrol, and thus was never heard of again.

Dreadnought Ravager
CLASS: Perpetrator
CREW: UNKNOWN
ARMAMENT: UNKNOWN
DOCKING: Limited
AMENITIES: No
Constantly on the lookout for friendlies and enemies, either greeting with a smile or engaging with a never-ending fury, the Ravager monitors all entrances and exits made by every vessel in the Hellfire Legion's home system, while its sister-ship, the renowned Dreadnought Ven'Gyr, cleanses the Legion's enemies with the fires of hell on the front-lines.
The Ravager's advanced weapons and extensive scanner technologies have made it judge, jury and executioner in one, ever vigilantly guarding the home of the Hellfire Legion so that no enemies may pass lest they wish to venture into their very own hell. The only warning trespassers may ever get, should they survive long enough to see it, are the words inscribed on the Ravager's bow:
Libera Te Ex Inferis

Battleship Fate's Hand
CLASS: Arbiter
CREW: UNKNOWN
ARMAMENT: UNKNOWN
DOCKING: No
AMENITIES: No
A Hellfire Legion battleship that took severe damage during the Legion-internal uprising, ultimately becoming the tomb of the late Lord Commander Tadao Mori. The ship also appears to be protected by an unknown type of sensor-jamming field similar to that of Fort Leniex. While scan data proves inconclusive, the power readings suggest that it may in fact be fully operational. Exercise extreme caution on approach, lest you wish to share Tadao's fate.
It draws us together,
It tears us apart.
It marks the end of a beginning,
Or does it simply make it start?
Unquestionable and divine
It charts a lineage for big and small
Controlling strings that thus connect us all.
In all our lives it guides us, pushes and controls us.
For purposes and causes relatively unknown.
Inevitable and undeniable, like a statistic,
It runs my life, behind curtains of chaotic turns.
I've seen its face, through counting the passing days
It's neither good nor evil, like a program.
It merely bends and shapes all things,
Into the linearity of life and the development of soul.
It makes my purpose rather clear,
And yet completely unknown if I can change it all.

Phoenix Shipyard Buoy
The scarce bits of debris present here are all that remains of the Phoenix Shipyard. Ever since all vital Hellfire Legion ships, weapons and equipment manufacturing operations startebd being undertaken on the recently constructed Fort Leniex, the shipyard's deconstruction has been an ongoing process which only saw completion at the end of the year 818 AS. All re-usable components of the shipyard have long since been removed and transferred to the neighboring stations. What remains is not even the skeleton of this once great station that has served the Hellfire Legion as the primary manufacturing facility for decades, but only the debris floating around in this buoy's vicinity. When Fort Leniex was constructed it was simply seen as practically and strategically unviable to keep an operational surplus shipyard at the far edge of the Sonora Ice Field, since the facilities at Fort Leniex are more than capable of undertaking all manufacturing operations without being in a position as exposed as Phoenix was. The memory still lives on however, and the most venerable and ancient vessels of the Hellfire Legion's fleet would not exist had it not been for Phoenix' existence.

Avarice Wreck
The wreck of a stray Junker plunderer's ship. It was left as a warning by the Hellfire Legion to all who dare tread in unknown waters carelessly. May contain valuable cargo.

Leniex Asteroid Cloud
The Leniex Asteroid Cloud forms the first layer of Fort Leniex' defenses. The cloud and its contents are known to cause major electromagnetic interferences to all sensor and scanning equipment. Due to this and the location of the cloud further analysis was not possible. All details about the composition of the cloud are unknown to anyone but the Legion, as are all details about the composition of the asteroids located within. However half of those appear to be heavily magnetic, while the other half appear to be parts of the Sonora Ice Cloud that drifted to this location some time ago. While Legion scientists have attempted to analyze gathered samples in hopes of determining the cause of those unique properties, progress in this area has stalled due to all samples steadily losing those properties when exposed to a controlled atmosphere.
What is unknown to most is that Fort Leniex is located in the center of the cloud. The Legion chose to construct the fort inside of this cloud precisely due to those special properties, with only the Legion's research having been able to produce highly advanced sensor and scanning equipment based on the mythical "Spyglass" systems, which is not affected by the cloud and the asteroids within.

Sonora Ice Field
The Sonora Ice Field was originally part of The Barrier, but drifted away into the gravitational anomaly of the Vespucci system.

Veracruz Ice Field
The Veracruz Ice Field was once part of the Sonora Field, later the two parts split and Veracruz is now slowly drifting towards the edge of the Vespucci system.
Series HF-V "Prosecutor" Hellfire Legion Very Heavy Fighter
The product of seventeen years of hard work from the greatest minds of the Hellfire Legion's R&D division, the Prosecutor-class Very Heavy Fighter represents a seamless blend of Libertonian, Borderworlds, and Lane Hacker technology. Designed to go toe to toe with any other fighter craft in Liberty and come out alive, the Prosecutor is set to become the standard-issue strike-craft in the Legion fleet, and it is destined to play a major role in all upcoming Hellfire Legion conflicts.
Series HF-G "Inquistor" Hellfire Legion Gunboat
Fresh off the assembly lines, the Inquisitor-class Gunboat is a patchwork yet solid ship possessing exceptional durability. Designed with versatility and ease of maintenance in mind, the mass-produced Inquisitor can be repaired easily from salvaged Libertonian ships as well as proper Hellfire Legion parts. Sporting seven turrets, it is well armed against capital class vessels as well as smaller strike-craft and can even double as a troop transport or even a boarding craft due to its distinctive ramming blade and the breaching module located at the ship's bow.
Hellfire Legion "Arbiter" Battleship
The Arbiter is the next step in the evolution of the Spyglass-class Battleship which, according to rumors, originated as an electronic warfare Battleship originally designed by the Liberty Security Force. The latest incarnation is the result of the Legion's eternal conquest against the Liberty military, a result that rivals the Navy's venerable Dreadnoughts in flexibility and even surpasses them in adaptability and firepower, owing to a highly-modular design convention based on decades of experience accumulated on the front-lines.
Regardless of the extensive weapon emplacements scattered across the ship's massive hull, the Arbiter stays true to its origins as ship designed for electronic warfare. Armed to the teeth with jamming devices and EMP weaponry and some of the most advanced sensor and networking systems to ever grace the modern battle-field, its main role is to serve as a mobile command post and battle-carrier, able to both house vast amounts of strike-craft in its spacious hangar bays and coordinate them with unsurpassed efficiency.

H4-Z "Brimstone" Hellfire Legion Gunboat Turret
Originally based off blueprints presumably stolen from Liberty Navy and Ageira Technologies computer data-banks, this is the second generation of the "Brimstone" turret. An evolution from its predecessor which was created out of conflicting technologies to form a better whole, it is the smallest of the H4-series turrets and designed to be utilized on Gunboat-class ships.
H4-Y "Burningfist" Hellfire Legion Cruiser Turret
Originally based off blueprints presumably stolen from Liberty Navy and Ageira Technologies computer data-banks, this is the second generation of the "Burningfist" turret. An evolution from its predecessor which was created out of conflicting technologies to form a better whole, it is an intermediate type of turret with power requirements that require it to be installed on Cruiser-class ship.
H4-X "Firelance" Hellfire Legion Battleship Primary Turret
Originally based off blueprints presumably stolen from Liberty Navy and Ageira Technologies computer data-banks, this is the second generation of the venerable "Firelance" turret. Without doubt the most iconic weapon in the Legion's arsenal, the "Firelance" has undergone the most extensive evolutionary process compared to the other H4-series turrets. The enormous power requirements of this turret restrict its use to Battleships alone.
UB3-R-H4-X "Hailstorm" Hellfire Legion Battleship Secondary Turret
Originally based off blueprints presumably stolen from Liberty Navy and Ageira Technologies computer data-banks, this is the second generation of the "Hailstorm" turret. An evolution from its predecessor which was created out of conflicting technologies to form a better whole, it is a heavier type of of turret with power requirements that restrict its use to Battleships alone.
Goldenflame: Legion did underhanded deals with corrupt SA admiral James Harrisson (later turned Phantom and took the name Corruptor), who arranged for training shakedowns of a carrier in Magellan with a skeleton crew for HF to take over. In exchange, HF filled his personal bank account up and gave him half a dozen generic ships for his own business on the down-low. Other terms of the deal have been lost in time; the thread was deleted during a forum wipe despite a direct request for its preservation in the designated threads, as well as assurances that no RP threads would be touched.
GF was then turned into the base of an experimental project. Most of its fighter bays were ripped out to make way for a massive three-core power, containment, and direction system designed to power what basically amounted to a giant x-ray machine of death. The idea was a cannon that would rip and tear blood and guts (and unshielded metal and such) via spamming gamma ray radiation at it. Unfortunately, between the ridiculous amount of fuel required, the danger, the amount of processing that had to be done all at once, and later concerns about ethical issues the Gamma Ray Cannon project was largely a failure. While project goals involved melting holes in battleships, the largest burst ever produced was not even quite sufficient to produce instantaneous cruiser hull breach. Add to that several accidents aboard the ship, and the project was scrapped, and the material removed from the ship.
The Goldenflame remained, however, the flagship of the Legion for some time, with project developments focused on utilizing its massive power system (no lore exists on the specifics of these developments - room for lore development).
During the Uprising, however, the Goldenflame's unscrupulous captain at the time turned traitor and fled with the ship. Its activities in the interim months are unknown, but it was later caught and destroyed by the Neo-Terran Front in Kansas. Unbeknownst to the Legion, its main core was extracted from the wreckage by a number of Junkers, and is now in the possession of the Rising Sons movement of the Blood Dragons.
