When chilling around and playing World in Conflict: Soviet Assault, I saw again how good the red army was organised (by his player in a multiplayer round). What came in my mind (after the thought I get a T-82) was the good old Freelancer Coalition. As everybody knows, todays coalition and their SCRA is a small, but good equipped and experienced strike force. And behind every army stands the support lines.
What I thought about was establishing an organisation or company gathering the ressources needed for operations like done by the coalition. What came in my mind was something like the companies called "VEB" (Volkseigener Betrieb / People-owned-enterprise). I know the acces to the coalition is not without a sence that difficult (besides the fact there can't be millions of people after just some managed coming to Sirius). The thing is, even in the communism (or more likely socialism) there need to be some kind of civilian/ semi-military support. And I dont think the coalition comepletely relies on the IMG. I thought about such a company excessively mining the ressources of the lower omega systems and maybe even some territories where they could coorperate with the Hessians/Bundschuh.
Now I would like to ask especially Coalition players for their opinion about that, but also everyone else can give me a feedback. If it would be even possible, if it would be attractive for you and how ships could they use or if it would be the best to develop new ones ( I know this would be some work :/).
I hope I will get some feedbacks.
Regards!
Squished bigly ~Champ- Thanks, you're a champ. "What's the word for when it feels inside your heart that everything in the world is all right?"
The SCRA relies oon the IMG and ICMG and red hessians, too I guess.
I think they receive molly gold as well, but I am not sure on that one.
The baisc idea is good, but as Omicron said, there is Volgograd industries.
Though, if you really want to do this, prepare for paperwork, PR and annoying stuffz.
