"You can holster the damn gun, no need for it here" Darius growled. With the fight at an end he proceeded over to the counter and ordered what vaguely reminded him of 'scotch on the rocks'. He reached into his pocket to pull out some credits to pay the barman but instead pulled out something he had long forgotten he had on his person. There in his hand was two rectangular metal cylinders. Emblazoned on them was a eagle in mid flight with amounts of currency below it. "Here gramps you can have these for your coin collection" he said to the old man and tossed him the two metal cylinders . With that he payed the barman for the drink and proceeded back to his booth.
He let out a soft sigh and reached inside his jacket and pulled out a sleek black pistol, which he promptly aimed at the ceiling and fired a single shot. The hope was to stop the unnecessary fight from causing more harm.
"Hmph, fine" Lux lowered his fist and put it into his pocket.
"Thanks for the 'save' J.P, I didn't really need it but oh well. Guess this is the second time you've helped me".
He then looked towards the booth Darius was in. "And thanks to you to, Mister...?"
As Darius was about to sit back down in his booth the Bounty Hunter had turned around and said "And thanks to you to, Mister...?"."Just Darius, and you can thank me by buying me another drink." he replied. With that he sat down in his booth. He cursed silently to himself, It was unwise to draw attention to oneself like that. He looked back at the old man, why had his presence awoke a memory like that. Memories of a past life long disintegrated to dust.
The freelancer blinked and missed everything. "Well... That escalated quickly." She was now looking at the aftermath and shaking her head. Here she thought she would have some peace and quiet and maybe expand her network or something similar. At least she got herself buzzed and watched a good show.
She waved some plastic for the bartender to see who didn't even notice still trying to deal with the flak of the fight. If no one charged her she was not going to make a big deal about paying either.
"Well Captain I think this place is a bit too unfriendly for my liking." The security officer said. "I guess we will run into each other up there." She pointed upwards as she stepped off the stool.
"Excuse me..." She said making way between the victors and leaving the bar behind, socializing did not go as planned.
"Just Darius, and you can thank me by buying me another drink." "Aight, I'll go grab you something from the bar as a token of my thanks, Darius".
Lux then made his way back to the bar, a bit miffed that he had to have some people to 'help' him out in the fight. Help was an overstatement. "God sake... those thugs were nothing..." He muttered to himself.
On his way to the bar, he noticed Dayayra leaving the bar. Upon casually crashing into where she was sitting, he looked up to see her. She was good looking, that was enough to get Lux interested. "Hey! Er, miss!" He said, walking up to her. "Where you going? as someone once said to me: "The night is young and so are we". "I've got to buy a drink for Darius over there, how would you like another drink?".
The bar got far too crowded for James. It was time for him to leave. He left some cash on the table, that should cover the drinks. He was thinking about leaving without being noticed. He wanted to avoid the hunter especially. Before leaving he walked next to Terrance and said: Shooting the ceiling was unessesary. Things would've settled down in a few minutes, without much problem. I think you owe some credits to the bartender for the damage you made in the lights.
While leaving he gave a call-card to Dayayra. In case you need me.He smiled.
"A beer, please."
Lux turned round and looked at Joseph "Um, J.P, can't you see I'm a bit busy here.." he said with a whisper, his eyes pointing towards Dayayra. "Here are a few credits, go and buy yourself and Darius something and--"
Just as Lux was talking, he noticed James leaving the bar. Something didn't look right about him. Lux had met many people in his career, and James looked like someone sinister to him the moment Lux had seen him in the bar when he entered. He'd heard rumors of a slave trading ring near this location. "J.P, sorry to ask you this but you might want to keep an eye on that guy" Lux whispered "There's usually money on the heads of sinister people".
As James approached the exit, Lux slowly began to draw his gaze away from him.
He sensed evil emanating from James' entire being.
There were more important things on his mind though. He turned back to Dayayra. "So yeah, why don't you let me buy you another drink?".
