TO:IRG FROM:Legatus Andra Sullivan LOCATION:Sabah Shipyard, Coronado-system SUBJECT:Ingenuus Powercell
Ave IRG representative,
My name is Andra Sullivan, I command the Zoner Nephilim IG|Quinquereme_EXODUS and the Interstellar Guardians group.
A few weeks ago one of my crew members returned to the Colony ship from a leisure trip. After stopping on Ames in Kepler to refuel, she came across the magnificent Ingenuus Powercell. The station staff notified her that only IRG members may purchase these from Ames, but we could contact IRG directly to request such a powercell.
As this is the case, I would like to discuss the purchase of one (1) Ingenuus Powercell, for the purpose of minimising the load on the ship's power core caused by the most recent upgrades to internal equipment. It would greatly improve the quality of our work in Coronado and it would guarantee more safety for our crew as the current means of powering the defenses has been made inefficient by the immense power requirements of the new equipment.
Hello there - My name is Rachel Snow.
I admit I find the fact that they're carting around the cells in Ames as to where visitors can see it. I suppose it's not too big of a concern, though it certainly gives me ammunition to grumble at the logistic manager down there.
Creations that we do development work on aren't generally something that you buy after doing some window shopping and decide that you want the newest toy on sale. I am a little concerned that you seem to be interested in buying a cell without requesting additional information in order to decide if it will actually be useful to you. The Mark C cells aren't necessarily something that you can merely plug into your ship and things will work wonderfully. There are prerequisites that much be observed and installed beforehand in order to guarantee that a vessel can cope with the odd mechanics.
I am not exactly a salesman. I can assure you that my concerns are not because i'm looking for you to buy more of Ingenuus' services than just what you're looking at, but for the fact that it won't work if you buy just the core. You'll have a very expensive self-contained bubble of energy. One which if treated or connected poorly, can cause a few gaping holes in the side of a vessel.
In regards to what appears to be a cloak, I regret to inform you that there is no method that we have currently to integrate our cores with that technology. I can go into detail if you wish, though I'd like to keep this message as short as I can for the time being. - If the purpose for your interest is to power that machine, we do produce a version of cloaking device specifically designed for use with our powercore. If you're interested, we can pursue discussion along that route.
Let me know exactly what you want. Right now, I'm not too sure what route I should talk about things due to the generalized nature of your request. I do recommend you research the products first. If you send questions through this channel my way, I'll be sure to answer anything that I can to the best of my ability. If there is something I can't answer, we might have a few problems. The core was half my project to begin with. (With the lovely disclaimer of the rest of my team on the project)

Ave IRG representative,
It seems I got a bit too excited about something I barely understand.
While a more efficient cloaking device would be very useful, I would much rather have an alternate power source for the new equipment banks. The cloaking device is rarely used. Nevertheless I admit that in the case it needs to be used, the performance is rather disappointing. For this reason, I would like to know more about the device you produce. And if the power cell will be able to power it and the other custom equipment.
Calm your jets. We're located in a good position in Sirius, I can assure you that if we didn't get the message, one of the nodes would bounce it back at you without any data loss.
If you're looking for something which can power standard systems, installation of an Ingenuus core usually ends out in a standard output bus. There are measures which need to be added into a vessel; fail-safes for if something were to go wrong. The core is very, very volatile. Our housing makes it stable for use, although it never hurts to have measures in place as to prevent any damage from happening if something did go wrong. This is a standard practice with any reactor. Ours merely has a few extra steps that need to be taken.
Yes, it is designed to run standard systems on a ship. However if you're looking at custom things such as engineering creations of a company that isn't standardized, or the use of cloaking devices or jumpdrives, some extra work needs done to make sure that everything is installed correctly. Currently a core can not handle anything with too big of a draw without going volatile once again. The only solution we have available currently is for cloaking devices. Unfortunately we are unable to replicate and sell the Mark Zero that the Feanturi has installed just yet. Better options may become available in the future, although there certainly will be a wait.
Currently one of the big perks of using one of our cores, is the lack of fuel that is required to run it. However, the power cores can not be used with engines unless you redesign the entire thing made specifically for them.
If you are looking at using a core for an alternative power source for anything standardized (not including engines) - It may be something good to look into. Anything else will take some redesign of your vessel.
