The Department of Internal Affairs takes pride in presenting the SHIELD OF BRAVERY to
COLONEL
JOHN ARENSON
LIBERTY NAVY (RES.)
for service as set forth in the following
CITATION:
For conspicuous bravery and particular courage in the line of duty whilst serving as the commanding officer of the Navy vessel Milwaukee. Piloting this vessel in aid of a police officer in distress, Colonel Arenson showcased particular marksmanship and maneuverability by utilizing his upsized gunboat to engage the Hellfire vessel head-on, landing many critical hits that eventually disabled and destroyed the craft in high Manhattan orbit. For his undaunted courage, fighting spirit, and unwavering devotion to duty, Colonel Arenson reflected great credit upon himself and upheld the highest traditions of the Liberty Navy.
