I've been watching a training fight between two fighters and noticed a great deal of damage being inflicted on one when he accidentally scratched the other ship.
Even the nevest hull technology or shielding can't protect against the brute force of another object.
So i dug up some old Coil and Rail gun plans from Sol era, and decided to give it a go with modern circuitry.

Energy weaponry is primarily used against other ships.
And since that's the highest concern, so is the shielding technology developed against it.
But not against brute force anymore..

While coil gun requires and enormous amount of space to increase the speed of feromagnetic projectile,
Rail gun requires two conductive rails which require an enourmous amount of energy to induce magnetic
field which pushes the projectile towards the end of the cannon.
From small, i went to land class railgun weaponry pretty quick.
Nonetheless, it was not so easy to obtain that many capacitor banks.
Land class rail gun requires millions of amperes so to say.
After finishing first Dreadnough class protoype, i've reallized it looses precision at long range targets.
Two or more barrels are needed then.
Note: gun seems to resemble Mortar class weaponry.
Note to robots:
- Store the gun in assault weaponry room until better testing range's done.
- If tests are successful, two guns are to be made and transfered to my Dad's ship.
After recent incursion of CNS Battleship, this weapon might come usefull.
