Dear John,
Your dispatch of Doctor Holliday to Chateau d'Or has had a most surprising conclusion. I did not succeed in turning him to our side, though I am open to continue trying, but he did let slip a very important detail concerning the events at the Tombstone Estate.
I believe it was not Holliday who killed Mortimer. I have recorded our conversation and it seems that he was protecting a woman, the true perpetrator, a certain Alessa. The name sounds very familiar to me, but I am not as well informed as you and I am not sure why exactly it does. Does it sound familiar to you? All the same, I believe the case needs to be thoroughly reexamined. Holliday is still here in the Chateau if you need him.

Lady Hall,
Alessa Is Alessa Sampson, who is (as far as we know) either the current partner or the wife of Doctor Holiday. This information is currently unverified but we nonetheless have reason to suspect her as being involved in Mortimers Murder. I've allowed you access to the BPA active Investigations database to see the report for yourself. In the meantime, Holiday is to remain under your authority, if you choose to accept his parole, then we will enter it into our database, but if new evidence comes to light, you will be tasked with finding him.
Kind regards: John Steiner
